I have edited my meeting description in Account Management/Account Settings, and saved the changes, but they do not show up in the waiting room screen. i have tried to log out and log in again, but to no avail.

Zoom menus not working in 5.17.11 (3835) with Fedora 38 and MATE desktop

I had Zoom 5.17.1.1840 running fine on my Fedora 38 system with MATE desktop.  I had to update to 5.17.11.3835 today, and now the "View", "Security", and "More" menus in Zoom no longer work.  There's a brief flash when I click on those menus, but the menu never shows up.

Poking around in the log file, I see things like this when 5.17.11.3835 is running:

file:///opt/zoom/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Base/FocusFrameStyle.qml: No such file or directory
file:////BusyIndicatorStyle.qml: No such file or directory

Qt Quick Layouts: Detected recursive rearrange. Aborting after two iterations.

 

There are no files in /opt/zoom/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Base, there is an images directory but it is empty.

 

Looking at the .rpm installer, the FocusFrameStyle.qml file is in

/opt/zoom/Qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Base/FocusFrameStyle.qml

 

I tried removing Zoom and reinstalling but that did not fix the problem or the missing files.

 

Anyone else seeing this?

Simultaneous Meetings with more than 2 hosts

I have a few clarifying questions that I wasn't able to answer via Zoom's Learning Center and Zoom Support Documents (Hosting multiple meetings simultaneously).
 
According to the support document linked above, "Licensed users on Business, Education, and Enterprise accounts can host up to 2 meetings at the same time. Both meetings need to be started by the original meeting host or by an alternative host." Given that information, consider the following scenario:
 
Math Academy (MA) sets up its classrooms as recurring meetings without a fixed time where the host and participants simply click the zoom link which uses a randomly generated meeting ID. On Tuesday at 4:30PM EST, there are five active classrooms:
  • 1st Grade Class with Mr. Blue at 4:30PM EST
  • 2nd Grade Class with Ms. Green at 4:30PM EST
  • Pre-Algebra Class with Ms. Red at 4:30PM EST
  • 4th Grade Class with Mr. Brown at 4:30PM EST
  • 5th Grade Class with Ms. Yellow at 4:30PM EST
Assuming each of these meetings are hosted on separate devices by licensed users (specifically an Education License) and each class is its own recurring meeting with a unique meeting ID, can our employees host these meetings on the same day and at the same time with a total of 10 participants per recurring meeting?
 
Some more clarifying information:
  1. All recurring meetings were created with MA's Zoom Business Account, but this zoom account is only there to schedule meetings not host them
  2. None of the teachers have been added as alternative hosts in these recurring meetings. They're just clicking the link with the expectation they'll get let in as a host because they're on MA's Users List.
  3. All of the teachers have licensed accounts connected to MA's Zoom Account (so they would all show up in the "Users" list)
  4. Each of these classes/recurring meetings would have a TA that acts as a co-host that is also licensed and connected to Math Plus Academy's Zoom Account. They're not included as alternative hosts.
  5. All users/accounts have the most updated version of Zoom.

I have regular meetings on zoom

I open the program, and on the opening page, I have the options to start a meeting or invite people.  Click on the invite button, and it copies the invites.

I then email the invites to my group

Now I open the program and that page is not there.

I see no way to invite people.

I had to cancel my meeting

what am I missing?

Emailing Meeting Registrants for a future event

I want to send a personalized email reminder to Registrants for a future meeting. I can 'view' the Registrants and their email contact details. How do I download the list to Excel so that I can use mail merge to send a personalized reminder?

when I start a meeting my client receives a message that the host is in another meeting.

I often start a meeting 2 minutes before it is scheduled. The client who signs in receives a message that the host is in another meeting. But I am not! Then I have to sign out and start a new meeting.

Hi.  When I am the host how do I change my image from 2 inches x 2 inches at top right of the screen to cover most of the screen?  Thanks Keith6
