Good Morning! I attended a Zoom meeting and was not the host.  I requested a copy of the video from the host and they are not sharing.  I need the video for a legal case that I have & I need to know if Zoom can access the recording? I will have to subpoena the video when we go to court.  I need to be sure that they do not edit or modify the video.  What will I need to do to access the copy.

Best Regards,

Is this possible?

Hello, I've run into an issue with my Zoom meetings and my microphone. My computer is a MinisForum HX90 running Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2, and my Zoom version is Version: 5.16.10 (26186).

My Zoom was running fine yesterday, but this afternoon a pop-up window said "Failed to detect microphone and speaker. Please make sure your devices are properly connected." Running "Test speaker and Microphone", the ringtone plays fine, but any microphone I select shows the same frozen input level. The input level varies from 9 bars to 2 bars when I close and open the meeting or I reset the system, but it is always frozen across all microphones selected.

My microphone is a USB-connected Samson Q2U. Here are a few things I've tried to address the problem:

  • Made sure I'm not muted
  • Plugged out and in the microphone's USB port to check for loose connection.
  • Restarted and turned off/on the system.
  • Uninstalled then reinstalled Zoom.
  • As per youtube videos, went to System > Privacy and Security > Microphone to ensure that "Let apps access your microphone" and "Let desktop apps access your microphone" are enabled.
  • In Zoom Audio settings > Advanced, I set Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers to Off (Windows - Raw). Hovering over "Test Mic" it says "There seems to be an issue with your microphone, please select a different device and try again", but the message remains the same even when I plugged in different USB microphones or used the default built-in microphone.
  • Updated driver for the Samson Q2U microphone
  • Checked for Windows update (there was an optional driver update for Western Digital Corporation - Western Digital NAS, I did it but I don't think that's relevant)
  • Tested the microphone by running it on voice recorders. Works fine. In System > Sound > Properties the slider on the input volume does increase too, meaning its most likely an issue with Zoom rather than the microphone itself.

I hope this information was useful. Please do let me know if I may offer further information to help solve this issue. Thank you for reading

There is a meeting that shows up in my Zoom app and I have not found a way to make it not. It is not my meeting. The outlook series has ended. The person who owned the meeting has left the company. IT has said they have deactivated the Zoom account and it "should disappear within hours" but it is still there 3 days later. Is there a way I can decline it so I stop getting reminders for a meeting that does not exist? The only options that appear on my app are to join, chat, or join from room. 😞

A bizarre thing happens after a meeting. The computer across the room starts up a new meeting. This has happened several times, and caused problems when there were technical difficulties at the other end and I needed to restart Zoom. Then I could not get back in to the original meeting. I turned around and I saw what the other computer had inexplicably created a meeting under my account.

I cannot see any settings having to do with this, and have no idea why it would do this on its own. It is not set to open Zoom on start up on either computer, and in the last year, the only time Zoom has been on the other computer is if it auto opens to create a meeting. Very creepy. Any ideas?

Hello there,

I am using the soundcore p20i earplugs, and suddently my audio start to crop when using the earplugs on zoom.

It doesn't crop without the earplugs on zoom, or with the earplugs, but in other software such as google meet or skype, or even listening to music.

I am on windows 11 and last version of zoom (just updated it to check if problem would go away).

Before it used to work fine. I don't know what happened, I already researched a lot!

Hello, I am using watermark during meetings so each attendee sees his e-mail address as watermark on the meeting screen. But when attendees are watching zoom cloud recording of the same meeting, they do not see watermark anymore. Is there a way to show watermark on recordings too?

If not, is there some chance to make it harder for viewers to share recordings when they capture them with screen recording? Meetings downolading is set as off for all except host in my settings. Thank you for some advices.

Hi,

I have an integration of zoom in a moodle structure. A have tested zoom meeting plugin and LTI Pro also but have the same problem.
In my senario, i have classes (math, physics etc) and i want to use 1 or 2 zoom licences per class. In a class will be 5-8 teachers.

The Head class teacher will schedule zoom meetings (his account email is bind to the zoom licenced email) but the rest of the teachers must be able to start and manage these meetings.

The rest of the teachers has been added as basic users in university's zoom management but they cannot start the meetings created by the licenced user.

Can you suggest a solution to my problem?
