Audible notifications are a major and persistent distraction in Zoom meetings (and sometimes an embarassment, when it becomes obvious people are IMing with each other behind the scenes), whether they come from Outlook, Slack, Teams, or another app. There does not appear to be any feature in Zoom to silent external app notifications when a meeting is active. The user can manually disable sounds, turn on Focus Assist on Windows, or Do Not Disturb/Focus mode on OSX, but most users will never remember to do this.

 

Is there any way to make this happen automatically? Does anyone know if Windows Focus Assist (and the Mac equivalent) have APIs that Zoom could call to mute local sounds during meetings? Is there any third-party software that might accomplish this goal?

 

There does appear to be at least an undocumented API to Focus Assist, mentioned at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55477041/toggling-focus-assist-mode-in-win-10-programmatically

Audio issue

During a meeting, I can hear everyone except the screen sharing sound.

How to I revert all my settings back to when my account was new?

 

There are so many settings that I lost track of what messed up my Zoom and need to start again with the initial factory settings.

New update, zoom response is very slow and lagging

Zoom Meeting Desktop Client is up-to-date(new update last night)

No error codes, however, ever since I've updated, I've noticed that the buttons won't response quickly.

Even the audio(from host's microphone) lags from time to time by few seconds. It will eventually go back to normal but sometimes it lags. We're doing online teaching so this is a serious problem for us.

 

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Paid subscribers are forced to quit at 40 minutes

My account type is Paid (Assigned Host) and I'm a member assigned by the administrator, but I'm forced to log out after 40 minutes while I'm hosting a meeting; is this an administrator setting? How can I lift the restriction? I am a paid user and can normally support up to 30 hours of continuous meetings.

Chat disabled

During the last 3-4 webinars I've attended, I can't use the chat feature, even though other attendees are able to use it. For example, the host says "Put your answer in the chat." But when I try to type in the chat box, I get a message, "Chat disable... Show more

During the last 3-4 webinars I've attended, I can't use the chat feature, even though other attendees are able to use it. For example, the host says "Put your answer in the chat." But when I try to type in the chat box, I get a message, "Chat disabled." But clearly the chat is not disabled for everyone, only for me. This only started happening a couple of weeks ago. I can't find any setting to change this. What is going on?

Need SSO instead of linked Google account

having to log in again every time I make an appointment through zoom.

Every time I now make an appointment through the zoom application on my computer, it bumps me OUT of my calendar and I have to sign in again.This NEVER used to happen,but it does now. Zoom crashes when drawing in another app

Since an update in the last month or two, I've found that Zoom will crash if I share my screen and use my pen to draw in another app (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Whiteboard, Microsoft Word, etc.). The video feed and all inputs (mouse, keyboard, pen) will cease to work, requiring me to forcibly restart the computer. Using the built-in Zoom annotation option when sharing my screen does not cause the behavior, but it is easy to forget when sharing an app that allows drawing. Since I used to be able to ink in any app, it seems this is a bug in the current version of Zoom.
