I need people to move themselves about the various virtual rooms, but I don't want them to have the power to close rooms! This should be for the host only. Since, any person who wants to act rogue and dislikes virtual environments can close the rooms, blame it on the technology and say that zoom isn't fit for purpose.  You can't identify who has closed the rooms. And of course everyone denies it. Not useful when you have a large number of externals in your virtual environment that you're trying to impress. How can I give feedback to zoom to get this changed???  I can understand that you may want a second admin person to help the host, so they need the power, but to give everyone the same power is not useful. We can't stop making everyone co-host as there are far too many people to move about. They need to do it themselves. We really need another role - one that allows people to move about so they can see the breakout rooms, but no other powers.

We use Zoom sessions/events.

i just hosted a webinar that had breakout rooms.

in my main room people were saying they couldn’t locate the breakout rooms but when I went to find them to directly add them, the names provided in the QA weren’t under unassigned. Thinking they used another name I asked if it could be either of these few first names and both answered no. How can this be?

our participants were not pre assigned rooms but instead were supposed to be able to kind of dabble in either of the rooms the picked.

Also, one person could not find the breakout option at and she was on laptop.

Anyone know if this is expected?

I have searched for this information and cannot seem to find how to accomplish this. If we are conducting a webinar how can we show the slides only and not the presenter. Our presenter shows up in the top right corner, how do we hide them from not only their view, but also the participants view? Thank you!

During a live webinar, when attaching a PDF in the chat feature, the attendees are prompt to download the document before they can view.  Is there a way that the attendees can view the document as opposed to downloading it first?  The option to view is only available after downloading.  I reviewed and confirmed my settings are set correctly as the host.  I am looking for a similar process like on a WebEx platform- Attendees can click on the attachment and it will open to be viewed. The attendees can then decided to save the document.

Our organization has been using the ASL interpretation feature for our webinars for over a year now. We record webinars to the cloud. We have been making the interpreters panelists so they can come into the practice session and then making them co-hosts so they can speak if necessary (I just noticed there is an "allow interpreter to speak" feature but I was not aware of that).

The post-webinar download files have always included separate interpreter files, and although we couldn't use these in our LMS we were able to refer people back to the Zoom recordings as a workaround if they needed ASL. In the recording on Zoom they were able to enable interpretation and watch with ASL.

Yesterday we set our webinar up as we usually do, however there are no ASL files available for download after the webinar and no interpreter feature in the Zoom recording. I was hoping interpreters would at least be visible in the gallery view recording, but the interpreters are not visible in that recording download once screenshare starts (even though they were visible to me throughout the webinar as a thumbnail right below the speaker.

The only difference that I am aware of this time is that I as webinar host did not personally pull up the interpreters so that I could also see them in a separate window on my screen. I think I have always done this in the past.

Is that why it did not generate recordings of ASL interpretation and did not make the interpretation feature available with the recording on Zoom? Is there something else that changed or something I need to do? I am using the most updated Zoom version: 6.1.6.

Thank you.

Can anyone with a Zoom Events/ Hubspot integration confirm whether viewers who have ONLY watched the recording are being sent to Hubspot?

I have 82 people on the Zoom Event Attendance Details report and only 64 on my integrated Hubspot attended list. I can't figure out if it's people who have just watched the recording. The missing people all have N/A against the "session join time" in the Zoom Event Attendance Details report. Some, but not all, have watched the recording.

I do have people marked as watching the recording who do appear in the "attended" list, but it appears they also joined the session live.

I am in touch with Zoom support about the issue, but one solution was to re-do the installation. I am not sure that's the problem, so I don't want to do it if anyone else has an answer?

Hi, my organization hosts monthly webinar sessions and provides ASL interpretation for each.

For years, we've been adding the ASL interpreters as panelists and pinning their videos during the presentation so that the ASL interpretation is captured in the recording.

With the recent changes Zoom has made to the ASL feature, this does not seem to be working any longer and I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.

The information I have found via Zoom regarding activating and using the new ASL interpretation feature seems complicated and confusing to manage during the session (for the facilitator, interpreters and the people needed interpretation), and I have not been able to find any information about how to set up the ASL interpreters so that the ASL interpretation is captured in the recording of a webinar.

Are other people running into this issue? If you are offering ASL interpretation for webinars, how are you recording that ASL interpretation?

I welcome insight and input.

Thank you!
