I'm being added to webinars i didn't sign up for by people i don't know. I don't know how they got my information but i got zoom meeting confirmations and reminders for webinars that I didn't sign up for.And the organizer is obviously very shady. The... Show more

I'm being added to webinars i didn't sign up for by people i don't know.

I don't know how they got my information but i got zoom meeting confirmations and reminders for webinars that I didn't sign up for.

And the organizer is obviously very shady. They use throwaway email addresses as their reply-to email adds. 

 

It's messing up my calendar cos these webinars are automatically added to my calendar.

Isn't this a privacy and personal data violation? How can I stop this?

We recently hosted a training on Zoom that we typically record. None of our usually hosts ended up recording, but we heard the pop up that it was being recorded and we all assumed it was one of us. It wasn't, but we would love to have the recording. Is there a way to find out who recorded it, so we can get the recording from them? We'd like to upload it to our YouTube Channel, as we usually do with all of our trainings.

Location incorrectly identified by Zoom as being outside of the UK

What can I do to resolve Zoom incorrectly blocking UK users from joining a UK-only meeting? Multiple users, based in Wales, have recently been blocked from meetings on the incorrect basis of being in Germany or the Netherlands. How can this be fixed?

Is there a way to limit the number of messages users can send in a Webinar chat? We unfortunately get lots of chat spamming during our webinars, so it would be great to be able to limit the amount of messages each attendee can send by time frame - e.... Show more

Is there a way to limit the number of messages users can send in a Webinar chat? We unfortunately get lots of chat spamming during our webinars, so it would be great to be able to limit the amount of messages each attendee can send by time frame - e.g., attendees can only send one chat message every 30 seconds. And is it possible to limit the character length of each message?

 

Any tips/suggestions would be welcome!

Files suddenly started downloading as TMPs and I can't open or convert them

I hope I posted this in the right space. The last couple of days, I've had trouble downloading my recordings. The "save as" window doesn't appear so I can't rename the file(s) and assign them to a drive I want them to be saved in. They automatically ... Show more

I hope I posted this in the right space.

 

The last couple of days, I've had trouble downloading my recordings. 

 

The "save as" window doesn't appear so I can't rename the file(s) and assign them to a drive I want them to be saved in. 

They automatically default to saving in the Downloads file and get saved as TMP files. 

 

I then can't open them.

What the heck?

Any ideas how I can fix this or how I can download these recordings? I've got clients waiting to get access to them.

 

They're pretty long recordings (60 minutes and up) but nothing longer than I normally record. 

 

Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

I have a Windows PC with a SSD as well as a regular drive. I'm running Windows 10 and using Chrome.

This is the second time I have presented a webinar, shared a video and the sound is not audible. During the webinar, when I attempt to "share a screen", the "share sound" dropdown is visable but I am unable to click on it. I had co-hosts in the meeting as well and they too are unable to click on the "share sound" options.

I am experiencing an issue with sharing both computer audio and screen simultaneously during a webinar session on Zoom.

Here are the details of the problem:

  1. I am using a Zoom Webinar plan and hosting webinar sessions.
  2. When I attempt to share my screen during the webinar, the "Share Sound" checkbox is visible but grayed out, making it impossible to enable sound sharing.
  3. If I go to the "Advanced" tab in the screen sharing menu and choose "Computer Audio Only," the computer sound is shared successfully, but the screen is not shared.
  4. This issue occurs on multiple PCs, not just mine, so it seems to be a broader issue rather than a device-specific one.
  5. I have already checked the following:
    • My Zoom client is up to date.
    • The settings in my Zoom account on the web portal do not seem to provide any option to enable or disable computer audio sharing.
    • My computer's audio and microphone settings are configured correctly.
    • I am the host during the session, so permissions are not an issue.

How to create simulive webinar with video not in zoom

As part of our evaluation of possibly switching to zoom from gotowebinar, we recently held a 4+ hour long webinar on zoom. The webinar went well and we want to use the recording for simulive events. The problem is that the video needed minor editing.... Show more

As part of our evaluation of possibly switching to zoom from gotowebinar, we recently held a 4+ hour long webinar on zoom.  The webinar went well and we want to use the recording for simulive events.  

 

The problem is that the video needed minor editing.  After downloading the file and making the minor edits, we attempted to upload the new file back to zoom. Can't be done because the file is (of course) larger than the 50MB limit.

 

If there's no method to do what we're trying here, to use edited videos of our events, that alone is likely enough for us to drop zoom.

I see the ability to download reports post-webinar for each of the different categories of data (attendees, chat, etc).
