Hello,

Since yesterday's global issue with AWS, one of our Windows Zoom clients has not been able to connect at all. It says it is offline, and I am unable to change my status; when I try to change my status, it just gets stuck on "connecting." Every other PC in the office is working fine.

I have done the following so far, but nothing has worked:

- Updated to the latest version

- Uninstalled Zoom, used cleanzoom.exe, then installed v6.4.12
- Uninstalled Zoom, used cleanzoom.exe, then installed v6.1.11
- Uninstalled Zoom, used cleanzoom.exe, then installed v5.17.5
- Deactivated local Antivirus
- Flushed DNS on local PC, released and renewed IP address
- Used VPN to change location to same country, another country and also to USA
- Tested client using the Network Connectivity Tool, every test passes without any issue
- Shut down the PC fully and turned back on, as well as restart
- Installed all Windows updates and latest BIOS firmware

I'm not sure what else I can do at this point besides replace the computer. Everything else on the computer is working perfectly fine, so it can't be the PC, our internet connection, router/network, etc.

I'm taking a language class from a teacher in Japan (I'm in the States). I'm the host ( I have the pro plan) and so far only she can write on the whiteboard. If I share my whiteboard, she can't see the tools and vice versa. Even if I make her the co-host, only one of us can see the tools and use the whiteboard all during our class time. On line it says that all participants should be able to use the whiteboard. I checked and the "disable annotation for others' is not selected, so the annotation ability should be on.

Can you please help me? Thank you.

Trying to figure out why all of a sudden (last month or so), I'm getting tons of daily emails saying "jump on the zoom call you signed up for" when it's a fake company, with a bogus email trying to get me to buy or sign up for something through the zoom meeting app..and why isn't Zoom putting a stop to this?? For each one I have to go unsubscribe to some bogus/scam company i never signed up with b/c i can't report the email as spam because it's technically coming from Zoom!!!! A company I am paying to pimp out my email address? Sorry- this is an awful business practice and zero help or assistance for those of us that actually pay and support Zoom and have for years. Protect your loyal customers Zoom! Don't allow bad businesses to just start spamming your loyal paying customers! (And if one more person/automated AI tells me to go to some page and find some spam company and report every single one in some ridiculous, time-consuming process I will definitely have a cancelation forthcoming.. Don’t let this ruin your company, Zoom!)

Hello all,

Thought I'd make my own thread to bring more attention to this issue. I don't hear a sound when receiving a new chat in Zoom, although I've enabled  (1) push notifications for all messages and (2) play sound when I receive a new message, and disabled (3) mute chat notifications while I am in a meeting, if this is relevant. I've deleted and reinstalled Zoom, as well as enabled push notifications for Zoom through the system preferences on my Mac (a community solution from another thread). Has anyone else found a different solution? Thanks!

Hello,

I am on Windows 11 and have Zoom updated v.6.6.1. It is on auto-start at start of Windows boot. I have tried searching help here, asking Chat GPT and other resources and I still can't fix this, so I am trying posting here for specialized help please.

All I want is for ALL zoom notifications to show up in Windows notification center in tab WITHOUT showing up as pop-up banners. To my understanding, the only way to do this is to configure notifications in Windows 11 settings and customize that for the Zoom app. However, no matter what I do, Zoom does NOT show up in Windows "notifications from apps and other senders." What do I need to do to force Zoom to show itself in this app list?

Whenever I change notification setting only on Zoom, pop-ups always appear on my desktop, and I want them t only show silently in the Windows Notifications Tab.

Please help, thank you in advance 🙂

I teach a course at Stony Brook University via Zoom. I am using Linux Mint 64-bit versions for both the OS and Zoom app. I used to be able to place .pdf files in the chat window for my students to download with no problems for the last two years. However, in the last two weeks, whenever I do that, Zoom immediately crashes.  Your automatic helper keeps referring to share screen crashes, but I don't have a problem with screen sharing. Also, I am definitely not using the 32-bit version.  I'm beginning to suspect it could be the Linux kernel. I must be able to place .pdf files in the chat window, as I used to be able to in order to teach my course.  I need immediate advice or help. I've sent crash reports as requested after the crashes.
