I've installed the Zoom app from Web Store, but now, I have a message to use Zoom for Chrome AWP.  But ChromeOS Flex can't install application from Google Play.

Is there a way to have Zoom AWP installed on ChromeOS Flex?

Resolved! Spotlight and pin: Participants don't see what host does when using audio mixer

We recently hosted a large hybrid event: live in an auditorium with mics and a PA system and 80 people connected via Zoom. To eliminate echo and feedback, we used an audio mixer with presenter mic output going to the in-room PA system and also to the mic input on the host laptop to route to Zoom participants. In the reverse direction, we had headphone output from the host laptop routing Zoom participant speech to the audio mixer and out to the in-room PA system. The audio all worked perfectly. The problem was that because in-room audio was routed through the host laptop, Zoom considered the host laptop the active speaker anytime mics from the auditorium were active and Zoom featured the video of the person operating the laptop at all times except when another Zoom participant spoke. We thought this might happen and tried to prevent it by spotlighting and pinning video from 2 cameras turned on the in-room presenters. The spotlights and pins worked on the host laptop's display, which was projected to an in-room screen, but the spotlights and pins did not appear on Zoom participants' remote displays. This also produced a recording that showed mostly the face of the person operating the host laptop (certainly not what we wanted). Can anyone tell me how to configure settings in Zoom so that we can get it right the next time? With audio routed through a host laptop, how do you successfully spotlight or pin presenters on cameras that have joined the Zoom session so that Zoom participants see those video streams highlighted?  Also, how should we configure recording settings to ensure we have silent video from in-room cameras (the spotlighted/pinned ones) captured as well as video of active speakers? I hope I have explained this well enough to get some good advice! Thank you!

I've been plagued with this issue for months. I've owned this ASUS Zenbook for almost a year, but only in the last 3 months or so has Zoom caused BSODs almost every session. I've tried various solutions. I contacted the manufacturer of the dock I use, Plugable, and uploaded minidump files. They said it's due to Norton 360 Security (maybe antivirus) but a Norton tech could not trace the problem to their software. I disabled antivirus and the firewall and no improvement. Plugable also thought it might be due to using an older monitor (more than 10 years old) so I bought a new one. No help. I saw on a Zoom forum it might be due to my bluetooth headset, so I changed Zoom "Audio-Advanced-Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers" to "Off." And then my next meeting I did not even use my Bluetooth headset, I used my external speakers. Another BSOD. Here are my minidump files.

ASUS M3702WFA. All drivers and Windows components up to date.

Help!

I’m using a University of Nevada, Reno license of Zoom.

As the host, when I enter a breakout room in response to a “Ask for help” call and then exit using the “Leave breakout room,” I lose elements on my screen that were there before I entered the breakout room. These include the Participants, Chat, and Breakout Room windows. In addition, Share Screen is cancelled and I am muted.

How can I avoid needing to reset all these elements each time I pop in and out of a breakout room?

Thanks.

Hi Zoom community,

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been facing some issues while teaching on Zoom, and it's becoming quite frustrating. The two main problems I'm encountering are poor video quality during calls and occasional crashing of the Zoom application.

Details of the Issues:

Poor Video Quality:

The video quality during my Zoom meetings has significantly decreased.

Participants often complain about pixelation and lag, making it difficult to conduct classes smoothly.

Crashing Issues:

The Zoom application crashes randomly, sometimes in the middle of a teaching session.

This has become a major disruption, and I'm concerned about the impact on the learning experience.

My Setup:

I am using an Intel Core laptop with i7 processor.

Internet connection is stable, and I have a decent upload and download speed.

Questions for Discussion:

Has anyone else experienced similar issues recently?

Are there specific settings I should check or adjust on my Intel Core i7 laptop for better Zoom performance?

Any recommendations for troubleshooting the crashing problem during Zoom meetings?

Could there be compatibility issues with certain devices or configurations?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from the community. Teaching online is challenging enough without these technical hurdles!
