Hi,

I'm teaching yoga on my zoom account. I use my iphone as the camera on a tripod at the far end of the room so it captures my whole body.

Closer up I have my laptop where I can gallery view my students and make sure they are following ok.

I'm using the camera as the host to video (and also record) and also capture the audio.

So I log into the lap top after the phone is set up, and mute it.  I also go into settings on my lap top and mute the microphone.  But problem is I am still getting echo/feedback.

Any advice?  

I have earbuds which I'm not currently using either which I think would soften the audio but the whole thing is a bit of a mess at the moment! Thanks for any advice x

On Saturday, February 12th  I attempted to conduct a public workshop on Citrus Tree Care which was advertised on Facebook.  Seven minutes into the session, our Zoom meeting got bombed by 4 or 5 intruders who maliciously took over our meeting with loud music, profanity, and lewd drawings on our PowerPoint.  They were not given co-host access.  Earlier in the morning, I received an email from Zoom informing me (I am the account holder for the Zoom Pro account) that I should secure our link with a password (already done), waiting room (already done), and require attendees to register for the meeting (requires Zoom Webinar plan).   I did not hoave time to upgrade my account and re-advertise  with a new link and register interested people.

We are a non profit, educational organization and can not afford to upgrade from Zoom Pro to Zoom Webinar.  What is Zoom doing to prevent such intruders in the future?  We advertise our virtual workshops on Facebook, newspaper and our website with no registration required.

I have a meeting for February 22nd. created and already received a meeting ID for it.
However, the meeting is not displayed.

What can be the reason?

What can I do since the invitations have already gone out?

I am using Zoom V 5.9.1 on an iMac V 12.1.  I have been using Zoom with my account for years with no problem. Now, when I create a meeting and try to invite people in via emails, the message that comes up is " Calendar Will Be Unable to send the Invitation. To be able to send invitations, you nee to create an address card for yourself in Contacts."  

I have an address card for myself in Contacts. I am able to send meeting invites with addresses from Contacts with my iPad, but not my iMac.

(I copied the subject line from another post because I do not know if the thread is still being followed.)

This has happened to us three times, in different configurations:

[1] Last week:

• I was the host. 
• Karen was co-host, and showing a Powerpoint slide deck.
• At about the 45-minute mark, I lost all my controls, especially in the participants window (mute, put in the waiting room, etc).
• However, Karen was able to continue her presentation without problems.
• At the end, when participants started leaving the meeting, my controls returned.

[2] In a meeting at another time, Karen reported that the same thing happened at another meeting: a co-host was presenting and the host lost function controls

[3] Today:

• Peter was Host.
• I was co-host. I gave a 2-minute powerpoint presentation.
• At the end, Peter was supposed to take over screen sharing and show his presentation.
• However, Peter's controls had disappeared and he was unable to take over the screen-sharing.
• At his request, I stopped sharing my screen. His controls continued to be absent.
• We pivoted to another co-host, who then gave a 60-minute powerpoint presentation without problems
• Meanwhile, Peter used Windows Task Manager to stop the Zoom app. When he returned to the meeting his controls returned to his zoom screen.
• In the end, still as Host, Peter was able to give his (short) powerpoint presentation.

The same problem: The host's controls froze, but not by anything they were doing. Different people, different computers, different times, different connections. The only things in common were the Zoom app and Zoom meeting. 

Comments? Suggestions?

As of last week I can no longer see when participants have joined my meeting. They are still receiving the message to wait until the host let's you in but I can't see they are waiting to let them in. Once I realised that it was continually happening I suggested they leave the session and rejoin and they all got in no problem and I received the message they were waiting?

Any thoughts why and how I might remedy? 

Also when I am waiting for them to join even though they have said they are waiting it is only displaying as one participant in the meeting?
