I'm hosting sheduled meetings from Ontario, Canada. I have an attendee who cannot access the video meetings from Ghana so she calls in to the meeting. I have been on meetings with her (on video) using my personal room, as have others on our team.

She can't join scheduled meetings via video but can join the audio by phone.

She can join meetings in a personal room via video.

Any suggestions how to help her join  our scheduled meetings in Ontario (Canada) from Ghana via video?

We moved from Mountain Time in USA to Frankfurt, Germany (GMT+1)  .  I changed my Profile to reflect our new time zone - but each time I schedule and copy the invitation for a meeting using the correct Germany time zone and time, when I post the link it always reverts to Mountain Time.  What can I do to correct this.  I have 4 or 5 zoom conference per day and this is frustrating.  Plus, I do not qualify to chat with a live person (thanks Zoom).  Please help!

Hi

I have a problem when running the zoom application on windows 10.

It starts up perfectly fine and then when I try to click the settings icon (on home screen or from username initial tab in the right upper corner) it starts loading but opens nothing, after a while it stops the loading altogether.

This unresponsive behavior started after I unchecked the box in the settings that minimizes to application tray upon closing the app.

I have tried:

- updating windows 10

- close and open app (close from application tray and also from task manager)

- update zoom

- uninstall and reinstall zoom

- uninstall and delete all related files from file explorer and registry editor then install again

I am running:

ryzen 5 5600x

rtx 3070ti

MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI

Hello,

I've been using Zoom and Google calendar (personal) for ages with no problem. When I set an event in my calendar, I click on the zoom link and it integrates into Zoom.

Today I have set up a new google calendar and have gone into Zoom to set up the calendar integration. When I go through the steps to authorise it it says "Add failed, the calendar based access permissions are not allowed"

Any ideas??

Thanks

Hi - I am seeing that in both the Basic and Pro versions, we can do a “live transcription” — Can this be saved as a text file along with the video recording?

What is the difference between this Live transcription, and the “recording transcription” that is only available at the Business plan level? Is the accuracy about the same? And will the Live transcription name/label the speaker when there are multiple speakers?

Would Zoom offer the "recording transcription" as an add-on to a Pro plan? We only need one license so wouldn’t do the Business plan of 10 licenses.

Thank you!

We just had a unique issue come up that I wanted to share with everyone.

A learner reached out to one of our trainers to as if the remote class was in fact cancelled.
The trainer said that class was not cancelled and was informed that the learner had received an email that it was. The learner forwarded a screen shot of the email to the trainer, at their request.

Sure enough, the meeting ID number matched the upcoming webinar.

I was informed of this issue by the trainer and received the forwarded screen shot.
About 10 minutes later the trainer called me back and confirmed that the email listed as the sender was one of the people scheduled to attend today's class. The trainer and I were on the same page, as I was about to check the sender off of scheduled attendees before he called to confirm that this potential security breach was a false alarm.

The attendee that sent the email to all the other learners was attempting to email the trainer to confirm the class was still taking place and does not understand how this went out as an event cancellation either.

Could this have been someone randomizing meeting ID numbers to disrupt upcoming meetings, webinars, and remote classes? Sure. It's a buck shot approach, but then it is the easiest method of hacking and disruption out there.
Could this have been a disgruntled learner? Absolutely (for those questioning this one, one school I taught at used to get fake bomb threats in adult education from students angry about their test scores.)

So, why post this?

Well, for starters some of you may be new to Zoom and are on the community page to learn all you can. I hope this helps you in your self-study.

Second, if you are a Zoom Admin. you may get all manner of question from your users. Now you have one more possible answer for a user’s question, no need to reinvent the wheel, so your solution may be a bit easier.

Third, to reemphasize the point that as much as we are happy the issue was a simple mistake, security incidents do happen, and we must be willing to explore those possibilities. Security incidents are a matter of when, not if. Initially this was a security issue, and until proven otherwise I was going to do some reading to determine if this was a new malicious trend. Being a security professional, as well as educator and Zoom Admin., there is no shame in exploring this route, nor is there anything but relief when an issue turns out to be a false alarm. (We in security actually like false alarms.)

As stated earlier, I hope this helps some people who may come across a similar issue. Fingers crossed your issue is also a false alarm.

During zoom meeting my screen flashes black , white and several colours randomly. The sound disappears & others in the meeting stop hearing me then it goes completely dead . This problem happen for several minutes then the broadcasting of the meeting return to normal .
This happens quite randomly - sometimes after only about 10 minutes into the meeting; sometimes 30-40 minutes, sometimes never.
Does any one have a solution for this problem?

Hello,

I just got a Chromebook and I did a zoom meeting and as soon as I share my screen or a tab or anything, it disables my camera and stops sharing video.

It says it does this for optimization.  However, for my purposes, this completely defeats my purpose for using zoom.  I need to be able to share a PDF while the other person can see me so we can look at it together and they can see my face.

I know on windows, this works fine.  But on Chromebook, whether you use the app or in the browser, video is disabled when you share the screen.

Is there any way around this?
