II had issues with using Zoom this past Friday, My mom had a meeting with her lawyer and my mom is hard of hearing loosing her hearing actually, my mom has her hearing aide connected to her phone and with calls it works well. When we tried to use her phone with Zoom my mom couldn’t hear the lawyer. I also found out that Zoom has closed caption that was not turned on by the host that would help my mom with the meeting. Can anyone suggest what I should do to fix this issue my mom is facing please. My mom needs to hear the lawyer talk and then a meeting with the City of New York regarding accident so this is super important.

I read a good article here about “Managing audio echo during a meeting”.   That article presents three ways that echo could be coming into the Zoom meeting.  I would like to add that there is a fourth way that can happen.


Recently, I was leading a hybrid meeting (at a physical location and over Zoom). One of the Zoom participants was driving his car and using his phone to listen to the meeting.  He was using CarPlay in his car in order to hear the audio clearly.  The “echo chamber effect” was intense!  

 

Once he arrived at his destination and dropped off the call the problem was immediately resolved. (Unfortunately, I was leading the meeting and the only tech person available - so it took longer than it should have to kill the echo.)

Resolved! Black/Grey lines across my screen when video is turned on

I am using a MacBook. After updating the latest zoom version, I get this grey/black lines across my screen when I turn on the video. There is nothing wrong with my camera lens i.e. I do not have these lines in other video conferencing platforms.  I have reinstalled Zoom a few times, and also updated my iOS to Big Sur 11.5.2

 

This problem has been around for the past two weeks. 


Please advise. Thank you.

Download Zoom Issues On Apple MacBook Pro

Recording @ 1080p

Prior to December, 2021, I recorded meetings at 1080p. The results could be posted to YouTube and it reflected HD quality. This was important to me since some of the participants were doing screen sharing of PowerPoint slides. Resolution counted. Sin... Show more

Prior to December, 2021, I recorded meetings at 1080p. The results could be posted to YouTube and it reflected HD quality. This was important to me since some of the participants were doing screen sharing of PowerPoint slides. Resolution counted.

 

Since that time, without my making any changes to my computer or Zoom settings that I am aware of, other than doing the Zoom updates, my recordings come out at 720p. A few of my friends post recordings and theirs still reflect 1080p. Is there some change on Zoom's part to the PRO accounts that are only now limiting my recording quality?

Audio output

I use zoom to share my church service with people at home. I've purchased a Yeti blue microphone. The mic picks up all the audio in church - music from speakers as well as voices. It's not a big room.But those listening on zoom do not get any music p... Show more

I use zoom to share my church service with people at home. I've purchased a Yeti blue microphone. The mic picks up all the audio in church - music from speakers as well as voices. It's not a big room.

But those listening on zoom do not get any music playback - only voices. 

I cannot understand why this is. Can anyone help?

Tengo un problema: hoy tengo una reunión donde posiblemente asistan más de 1000 personas (capacidad máxima).

 

He visto que con la licencia Business puedo tener dos reuniones activas al mismo tiempo.

 

Si el ponente es el mismo, ¿puede unirse a esas dos reuniones en simultáneo con la cámara y el micrófono activo sin que genere problemas en la otra sala?

I have a problem: I have a meeting today with possibly more than 1000 people in attendance (maximum capacity).

 

I have seen that with the Business license I can have two active meetings at the same time.

 

If the speaker is the same, can he join those two meetings simultaneously with the camera and microphone active but cause problems in the other room?

 

I hope I could have been clear.

Problem when using RME "TotalMix FX".

I am having a problem when using RME "TotalMix FX".I have Zoom software installed on my Mac Book Pro.It looks like Zoom's mic volume control is syncing with TotalMix's faders.When an over-level volume is input, I think the Zoom's mic volume will drop... Show more

I am having a problem when using RME "TotalMix FX".

I have Zoom software installed on my Mac Book Pro.
It looks like Zoom's mic volume control is syncing with TotalMix's faders.

When an over-level volume is input, I think the Zoom's mic volume will drop, even if the Zoom's automatic volume control is turned off
In that case, the "TotalMix fader" will also be affected.

Furthermore, we have confirmed that this problem occurs even when the Zoom software is closed
It was not resolved until I uninstalled Zoom.

Other similar services (Skype, Discord, etc.) do not have this problem.

The zoom audio device is a very nice feature and I would like to continue to use it, but
I am having trouble installing it because of this problem.

The environment in which the problem is occurring is as follows
- Mac Book Pro (15inch 2018)
- Mac OS 12.4
- Zoom (latest version as of 2023/01/15)

 

I'm looking for a solution.
(Sorry if the language is strange because my native language is not English)
