I work with a multi-monitor setup on Windows. I keep the Zoom window with the view of other meeting participants open on a smaller monitor near my webcam so that when I'm looking at them, it appears to them that I'm looking at them. On my big monitor, I often have slides open or something that I'm sharing. When I begin sharing, Zoom tries to be helpful and automatically makes the other Zoom window smaller and also moves it. Sadly, that's not helpful at all. In fact it's quite maddening. It's been like this for years. So each time I begin sharing, I have to move and resize that other window back to what it was. Similarly, when I stop sharing, another round of moving windows back to where they were is lived. Is there a checkbox somewhere in Zoom where I can end this torture?

There seems to be,and for some time in the past, been a lot of discussion about how difficult it can be to keep Zoom from blocking sounds you actually want to broadcast. This has had various degrees of impact even on music seen as background noise. Selecting "original sound " in the past, has helped a little but music has always been schetchy at best.

Ever since the last update the "original sound" setting has not only not worked but Zoom completely blocks anything that even sounds like music. you can stand at a microphone and talk and then begin singing i. the same microphone and the second you sing Zoom will totally block all sound even though it is the primary sound in the primary microphone that it was picking up perfectly a second before!

it blocks the organ. it blocks the Piano. it doesn't matter what settings i try to configure in the audio settings. it doesn't matter if i tru to bypass the filter settings by sharing computer audio in the share screen function. nothing works.

if Zoom can't fix this issue once and for sll i will be forced to change platforms. this is totally unacceptable for those of us that use zoom to stream meetings and not just for group web meetings.

As anyone heard of a workaround that actually works until they fix this???

Hi,

I have the enhanced "in meeting" chat enabled in Zoom settings, however I'm not seeing it when I opened Zoom. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom desktop client which seemed to fix it temporarily, but somehow it seems to have reverted. Others in my org clearly have access to it as I'm forever seeing messages of "<person> reacted to message <y> with <emoji>" as plain text messages in the chat. Does anyone know why this might be?

Thanks

I host a monthly Poetry reading via Zoom. I've been doing this ever since the pandemic stated and and hadn't had any bad experiences with people crashing the meeting. Then last week I got zoom bombed big time. I group of guests came in  and hijacked  the meeting. One of them made themselves host.  I found out later that one of the readers posted the link to the meeting on her facebook page. I always tell people not to do that but I guess this time I forgot.   I couldn't tell who was causing the problem so I had to shut down the reading.  How do I stop this from happening again?  Is there a feature that allows the host to automatically mute everyone so that their mics can't be turned on during the meeting?  (Except the designated speakers. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had a similar problem.

Pro Tip #5: Engaging your Audience by having them Annotate your Zoom Presentation

We all live in an era where we may need to present to an audience to educate them on a topic, raise awareness, and/or incorporate a fun activity over work. To make your Zoom Meetings more interesting, this month’s ProTip is all about how to incorporate our annotation feature to allow meeting participants to mark-up your activity slide or write their general creative thoughts.

How to annotate on shared content

  1. Start sharing your screen.
  2. Tap the Steph_1-1654093653879.png Annotate on your screen. This will open the annotation tools.Steph_2-1654093653513.png

  3. You should see something like this and have an array of feature options to annotate (e.g., draw and stamp).
    Steph_3-1654093653441.png

  4. Have fun and annotate your page.

    Steph_4-1654093653575.png
  5. Tap the Steph_5-1654093653880.png Annotate button again to close the annotation tools once finished.

This is a great tool for icebreakers (e.g., favorite food and/or place), emphasizing certain pieces of information, and online board games, such as Jeopardy. As a result, the meeting host may ask their participants to notate their designated presentation slide(s). Once their activity is done, they can clear their slide and move forward with the rest of their deck. For more information, please see our Zoom Support article here.

Please share with us situations where you have incorporated annotation tools into your Zoom Meetings in the comments below!

Hi

Can anyone help please?

My own image on Zoom has started freezing after a few minutes and then fading out to black outlines with everything else yellow.

I can see all the other participants perfectly with no stutters in either video or audio but they just see the frozen yellow me!

Stopping and starting the video just repeats the process.

It even does this when I just test a meeting with no participants.

I use an ACE mini PC with a generic webcam which has worked fine up till now and both Win 10 & Zoom are up-to-date with their latest releases and i've deleted an reinstalled the camera drivers

All the kit works absolutely fine on Skype - i'm completely flummoxed

Anyone any ideas please?

Thank you for any advice.

Hi. I included several polls in our meeting yesterday, but nothing is showing in my reports section to see names, etc. My setting is set up correctly for Zoom polls.

How is it that I can download polls information next to the meeting name, but cannot see poll details in my Reports section?

Thanks for any help with this.
