Good day, 

 

I would like to ask for any tip on how to download All Cloud recordings to Local Drive, the easiest way. We have a lot of recordings to download. Can if be done in one go?

Windows 11 has a Microsoft Store that allows Zoom to be installed as an App.

1.  Is the preferred installation method using the Microsoft Store or a direct download?

 

2.  @ClaraA listed an uninstall option, "Please install this CleanZoom app on your computer. This will uninstall the Zoom client completely from your computer. Here is the link: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/article_attachments/360084068792/CleanZoom.zip", does this uninstall a Microsoft Store App also?

 

3.  This issue started when I was checking for updates on the Microsoft Store, which showed that all installed app were updated.  Then when I checked using SUMo it told me there was an update available.  I then opened Zoom, clicked on the upper right icon and checked for updates.  I was then provided a 5.13 update which I installed and when I restarted Zoom went to update again and was provided a 5.14 update.  As a side note my IOS devise was updated to Zoom 5.14.2 on April 5, 2023.

 

4.  This is being posted in Meetings because I found no technical location to post it.

5.  After searching Zoom and Community.Zoom for technical information many posts with issues on running Zoom were told to uninstall (some listed the special tool, see #2. above) and reinstall.  This will often repair a Zoom installation that was corrupted by other software.  Zoom has been the most reliable meeting software I have used.

MEETING TEMPLATES

I am trying to set up a zoom meeting which allows clients to register and indicate who invited them.  Apparently the version i have will not allow this.  Does anyone know what version or setting i need for this to work?

When I go to sign into zoom, I see a message saying unable to install updates. Below that are two choices. Retry and close when I click on retry it comes back with unable to install updates so my question is what can I do to install updates. If I click close, I am able to use zoom and I don't know what updates I'm missing

Zoom not connecting

I am a teacher and a bunch of my students can no longer connect to ZOOM.  Appears to be just a ZOOM issue as they can access all of their other programming.    They get the following message.  Are there ZOOM servers down?

It sometimes happens that I don't see the blue name pop up at the top of the screen when someone enters my waiting room, and I don't know they're there until I engage my mouse on the screen. This is a problem because I'm a Yoga teacher and am often not near my computer when facilitating meetings. Any idea why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Could it have something to do with fact that my Macbook is on "do not disturb"?

I propose the following new function - cloud recording:

 

For meetings (or Webinar) where users must register to participate: when the host makes the recording in the cloud, host can configure that the recording will be automatically sent to the registrants (according to the recording sharing settings the host has indicated).

 

This saves host from manually sending the link to the recording.

Problems with waiting room images and videos

We are testing the waiting room customization features with the new join flow and finding several problems.

I'm on a Mint Linux laptop with plenty of resources and I've tried client versions 5.14.0 and 5.14.2.

My coworker has Win10 with the similar laptop and a 5.14 client. I've turned on the new join flow for both of us. We each created a new meeting and tried adding images (47kb png and 211kb jpg) and a videos (3.7mb and 14kb).

 

1) I can't see the changed images or videos. It just shows the stock zoom image. I even tried waiting a while after the waiting room was updated before joining to see if there was a delay but it didn't help. I also tried updating to the latest client and it didn't help.

2) The Win10 client crashes and restarts when trying to join the meeting when the waiting room has video. Logos and images seem to be fine though even when he joined less than a min after I changed the meeting.

 

Any ideas on how else to troubleshoot?

Zoom desktop app won't open after adding Zoom to my Slack workspace

I added Zoom to my Slack workspace and now I can no longer access my Zoom desktop app so that I can change settings. Every time I try to open it, it goes to the browser and wants to join a meeting for me. How can I fix this?
