Zoom’s latest updates to its terms of service make data privacy a core issue for the platform. Zoom’s terms of service update effective as of today, Monday 7th August, establishes the video platform’s right to use some customer data for training its AI models. I am holding off on closing my Zoom account (you do you), but I recommend removing any data stored with Zoom immediately. Sections 10.2 and 10.4 of their terms establish Zoom’s rights to compile and utilize “Service Generated Data,” which is telemetry data, product usage data, diagnostic data, and similar content or data that Zoom collects in connection with users’ use of their services or software. They are also securing a “perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license” to redistribute, publish, access, use, store, transmit, review, disclose, preserve, extract, modify, reproduce, share, use, display, copy, distribute, translate, transcribe, create derivative works, and process Customer Content.

Hi everyone, I have a client that is using a Samsung S22 phone for Zoom and I desperately need the correct audio settings for a musical lesson. As much as I've tried to help the client we still seem at an impasse. They don't even seem to have the same settings on their Zoom to get to the audio preferences, and they claim they don't 'original sound for musicians' on the list. Since I don't have a Samsung I was wondering if there is anyone with screen shots on how to direct them to the correct screen, and which version of Zoom they should be using (and how to verify that, too) thank you.

To turn off the sound effects when I start a Zoom meeting, such as the male robotic voice announcing screen sharing or stopping sharing??
We held a recurring meeting yesterday and had roughly 50 people preassigned to various breakout rooms. During the meeting, we broke out into the preset rooms, however we had 3 people who did not automatically get assigned. The host and co-hosts were not able to move them into a breakout room at all. We verified their zoom email with the one we had set in the breakout room and it was correct. We did not have the option to manually assign this person to a room and they were not showing up as an unassigned participant. We had the person log out and log back in and that did not fix the issue. This is a recurring meeting with the same registrants and we did not have this issue last week. Any ideas?

I have created a meeting but when I try to record under the same meeting, it says I need permission from Host. If I created the meeting, why wouldn't I be the host. I am using the same account and nothing has changed.
I have a new mac desktop and I cannot get my camera or mic to work for meetings. When I open system preferences, zoom does not appear for me to add it to my camera/microphone preference. I called apple and they stated that it is more of a zoom issue that my desktop cannot connect since my camera and mic works for other applications. Is there anyway I could receive assistance?

When assigning "Alternative Host" I receive message that the person must have a license. Is there another option. I have a weekly meeting that I will not be able to attend, however the group needs to meet. Help! If I send out meeting link. Can the group enter meeting without me present?
