Good day, I have a paid Zoom Event set up with Stripe and someone from Denmark is interested but Denmark is not listed in the article below:

The article ends with "Note: If an event—free or paid—restricts access to specific countries or regions, then users located in those countries or regions will not be allowed to register for and join the event."

 

Why? 

 

The article provides no useful information as to why this restriction is in place for countries in the EU.  Attendees who are blocked from attending a paid web event should be given some kind of explanation.  Why is France, Spain, and Switzerland allowed but not Denmark?  Is it local government restrictions, taxes, etc?  Did Zoom just decide they didn't want to do any event business in Denmark?  Stripe's documentation supports Denmark so its not a Stripe problem.

 

Given Zoom provided the whitelist on their support page, Zoom owes its customers a good explanation as to why these restrictions are necessary.

Good morning,

we noticed that Zoom Events does not provide for the translation of emails into Italian. If I set a reference template to be reproduced in future events, the email editing page does not include placeholders such as [title] or [date event], I would have to enter the event title by hand and correct it in future events. Furthermore, already composed blocks such as "registration" or "view event" cannot be translated. For us this means that we create registration pages for our events in Italian but we manage communication via email in English. Inconsistent experience for our users.

I am hosting a 3 day virtual event in August.  I'll have 130ish participants.  I need a space for multiple hosts to have access and the ability to divide participants into breakout rooms throughout the event.  I see that I have options of Zoom webinar or Zoom session.  Ideas of which could accommodate these needs??  Thanks for any help!

Hi Zoom Community,

I am currently facing an issue with creating an additional hub in Zoom Events. Our organization has a Zoom Events "Unlimited" license, and we have around 90 unused licenses. Despite this, we are unable to create more than one hub for one account. 

From what I understand, the Unlimited license is limited to a single hub. We are a company of 500 employees and need to manage multiple hubs under the main owner for different groups. My role involves managing these hubs along with volunteers assigned to each hub.

Here are some details:

  • We have multiple Zoom Events Unlimited licenses.
  • We tried to set up multiple hubs under the main owner, but it didn’t work.
  • The support article on Zoom mentions that to create multiple hubs, we might need multiple Zoom Events Unlimited licenses, which seems redundant given our unused licenses.
  • We need to manage volunteers without creating new email addresses for each of them, and each hub is dedicated to a specific group of volunteers.

Is there a way to create an additional hub without having to purchase more licenses? Are there any workarounds or specific steps we need to follow to utilize our existing licenses better?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How to stop non work emails registering for webinar

Hi, 

 

I'd like to stop registrants for upcoming webinar using Gmail or Yahoo accounts. We only want company emails. Is there a way to toggle this on ?

Some people are signing up without issue.

 

Other people get a message saying only authorised participants can register.

In the settings area, I have the only Requiring authentication to join a meeting/webinar  settings turned off, but in the webinar section where the webinar is set up, it is saying it is turned on and I can't seem to turn it off.

Hi!

I have a webinar license of 500. We have more than 500 emails we want to invite to the webinar. We know not everyone will attend live. Can we simply upload all the emails, giving everyone the right to try to log in knowing that there will be a percentage of no shows?

Or are we limited to uploading the number of emails that reflects the webinar 500 license?

Trimming a recording and editing the audio transcript

I have a Webinar recording that I want to be able to share with specific customers. (I am going to upload it to our YouTube channel so that we can just share the URL with specific individuals as-needed.) I went to RECORDINGS, selected my Webinar Recording, opened it. Trimmed the beginning and end of the video to clean it up and then spent HOURS editing the Audio Transcript. I cannot understand why it takes sooooo long to edit the transcript of a 30-minute webinar... but it does. Finished up and played it through, only to realize that too much had been trimmed off the end of the video. ☠️

Before I did anything else... just in case, I downloaded the transcript (.vtt) file I had been working on for hours (foreshadowing here...). I had to wait until the next morning to fix the trim at the end, because I had reached my "daily max number of trims" 🙄 for that file. 

So, the next morning, I log back in and open the recording. Fixed the trim at the end. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ And realized that when it restored the original video (as it does) so I could trim it, it also restored the original unedited transcript. 💀 I hate my life rn. Is there a way to upload or somehow restore the working .vtt file I downloaded back to the recording? Or am I going to have to start completely over editing that transcript? I don't think I touched the trim at the beginning so I'm thinking that the timing will still line up. Or maybe if I download the most recent version of the video, I can try it out... I'll do that and report back. If anyone else has any ideas I welcome them.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Never edit your audio transcript until you are 100% sure your video has been trimmed exactly, and I mean EXACTLY, the way you want it.

Every single time I'm in a webinar, from different hosts, whether it's on my laptop or my android phone, and when the hosts clicks the button to make me a panelist, the message on my end asks if i want to unmute or stay muted. it never asks if i accept being a panelist. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I'm signed in already. this is ridiculous.
