We need to share short video clips at the start of our webinars. I join as the Host and have tried a standard screen share and sharing via the video gallery (advanced settings) with both share sound and optimize for video clip checked. Sometimes it works, and other times the audio does not work. Attendees also see grayed out boxes where my control panel is. How do I fix these issues?

I am organizing a conference and we would like to record some sessions prior to the conference and make them available for on-demand viewing once the conference begins. How can this be done in Zoom Events?  Here are a few ideas, but I'm not sure if any of them will work.

1) Is there a way to upload videos? This would be ideal so that I can get the videos professionally edited and closed-captioned.

2) Record a session before the conference using Zoom so that it will appear in the Recordings section of the Hub. How would you do this? Do you need to make a fake session prior to the conference that you would record live?  How would you do this without altering the conference dates?

Any thoughts on the above ideas or any other possible solutions?

Hi,

We're running a Zoom Events Conference, and have been testing registrations before we send invitations. I can see in analytics that there are 6 people registered, but can't see any detail on those registrants anywhere - nothing in 'manage registrants', nothing under webinar registrations as a report, and when I export to Excel in analytics it says 'data is not available yet' (even after 24 hours).

I'd appreciate any help please!

My organization is hosting an in-person conference in April.  We have a handful of presenters that still cannot travel but still want to participate in their sessions.  We would like to have them present virtually to the audience that is in-person.  Since the audience will not be dialing into zoom (since it will be shared on the screen in the room) I am wondering if there is any difference between the Meeting and Webinar platforms that I need to consider.  From looking over the product specs there does not seem to be a difference that would impact this setup but I am wondering if I am missing anything.

Has anyone else used a setup similar to this... and if so, what are some best practices you would like to share?  Or technology hurdles you had to overcome (if any)?  Also, is there a difference between meeting and webinar that impacts this type of delivery?

More details about our use case:

  • These sessions will have presenters "in the room" and some "on zoom"
  • There will be a facilitator on-site to help bridge the online to in-room delivery
  • Only the online presenters and facilitator will login to zoom;  no attendees
  • We have worked with the AV team at the conference center to ensure the audio setup will work
    • In room presenter will be logged into the their computer (to presenter their portion of the presentation) but not logged into zoom (no active audio)
    • On zoom presenter will be logged into zoom and will control their own presentation and be logged into zoom audio
    • AV will setup Zoom/In-the-room Facilitator to bridge the gap.  They will share their zoom panel on the screen in the room for in-person attendees to view  Zoom Presenter content and their zoom audio will allow for the presenter to be heard and for in-person attendees to ask questions to the online presenter during the Q&A portion of the presentation
    • We are not using the Q&A, Polling or Chat in zoom... all of that will be managed onsite since we will not have any attendees joining the zoom room

Dear Zoom Community,

My university is having an academic conference through Zoom events, and yesterday I was unable to add one of the speakers as a panelist. It kept coming up with an error message. He said he used the correct link to log in, so we don't know what happened.

Any ideas?

Katherine P.

Zoom Invotes converting to Teams

For some reason, when we use our Webinars account and send out an invite to users, it shows up in users Outlook Calendars as as an MS Teams meeting.

Any idea on how to stop that?

Can I add a stock ticker to my Zoom Webinar?

I want to add a stock ticker esque element to the bottom third of my screen during a Zoom webinar.  Is this possible?
