Dear Zoom Team and Community,

I am writing to suggest an enhancement for the dial-in system to better support multiple languages. I recommend implementing 3-digit numeric codes for each language, based on the T9 keypad mapping of the language names. This would address the issue of duplicate codes and simplify the process for users to dial into meetings in their preferred language.

Proposed Solution:

Each language would be assigned a unique 3-digit numeric code, derived from the first three letters of the language’s name, following the T9 keypad mapping. For example:

  • English (EN) → 364 (E → 3, N → 6, G → 4)
  • Spanish (ES) → 772 (S → 7, P → 7, A → 2)
  • French (FR) → 373 (F → 3, R → 7, E → 3)
  • German (DE) → 437 (G → 4, E → 3, R → 7)

In cases of duplicates (e.g., Spanish and Arabic both map to 772), appending an additional digit would ensure uniqueness:

  • Spanish (ES) → 772
  • Arabic (AR) → 773 (adjusted)

Additionally, it would be helpful if Zoom could leverage the existing audio channels for translation options within meetings to handle language support. This would provide a more seamless experience and eliminate the need for dial-in participants to remember different numeric codes for each language.

Please let me know if there is a better solution for this, as we need this feature as soon as possible.

Best regards,
Alberto

Zoom+Hubspot Registration Required?

Hi Hubspot Zoomers!

I am using Zoom Events with Hubspot and about to launch my first live webinar. I have used the attached user guide to integrate the two (in case you do it differently so your advice might not match how I use the system!) and I now use Hubspot forms to get everyone registered into my Zoom webinar.

My question is what will happen next?!

I switched off the Registration Required because I have already registered them on my form, yet when I follow the link on the automatic email it still asks for their First Name, Last Name and email address. So how does it tally up who has registered and who has attended if someone uses a different email address (we block gmail on our forms, but Zoom doesn't).

Will they still have to download the Zoom app or can they just watch it in their browser? Again - if on app, what happens if their Zoom login is different to the one they have used to register?

I'M NERVOUS! Can you tell?

Zoom support is really poor. When we upgraded to a session licence, I wanted to cancel our webinar subscription because the webinar licence is already included. But the cancellation policy is absolutely user-unfriendly. You can subscribe to any upgrade online, but to cancel you have to contact support, who then doesn't respond.
This sucks. Thumbs down.

Hello

I’m reaching out regarding a technical issue we encountered during a recent webinar hosted by our company, and I’m hoping to get some assistance in resolving it for future sessions.

Here’s a summary of the issue:

  • Whenever our executive, who served as the webinar host, unmuted themselves to speak, participants experienced significant feedback and echo.
  • This occurred even though all participants were muted during the session.
  • The webinar host did not personally experience any feedback or echo on their end while speaking.
  • The host was using a laptop with built-in speakers and a built-in microphone in a private office environment.

Given that participants were muted, we’re unsure what might have caused the feedback. Please help in diagnosing and resolving this issue to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees in the future. I've looked at other articles on audio feedback resulting from a second device picking up sound but per the webinar host this wasn't the issue.

We're looking to replace a Logitech RoomMate (no support for multi-camera mode) that will be used primarily for Zoom Webinars (500-600 attendees). We'd be utilizing two Logitech Rally cameras and connect up to 2 displays or more (presentation slides, confidence monitor).
