I teach maths one to one and have found the best way to annotate is to open a meeting on my laptop, then join the meeting with my ipad.  I can then screenshare a pdf or other document with the questions on from my laptop and use my stylus pen to annotate from my ipad.

When I switched to the free plan, because I was no longer teaching groups of children, I found my meeting was cut off after the 40minute limit presumable because the ipad was showing up as a 3rd participant.

How can I set it up so Zoom realises it's just me with 2 devices and 1 student?

Is this possible?

Here's my problem: I'm an instructor of a 'Medical English for Nurses' college class. There are roughly 45 students in a class. If the Zoom lesson were to be in a meeting manner where every participant were in there own space with their own camera/mic setup, all would be fine. The problem is, the students are divided between two very large lecture rooms and I am sequestered in a small office equipped with a notebook computer and headset. The lecture rooms are equipped with a large screen for the students to view, but only a notebook computer (computer and built-in mic) for output to me. It means, I can't make any use of breakout rooms and for the most part, I can neither see nor hear students with any clarity. It means I end up being a talking-head and their is no interaction. This is meant to be an interactive class. When I do pair-work or group-work, I am disconnected from the activity. I cannot monitor and mix with the students. When students respond to questions, more often than not, I have no idea who is responding nor really have any idea what their response was.

So, my question is, does anybody have some ideas wherein I can engage these classes in a manner in which I am not just lecturing to dead air?

This was really frustrating last year and is not conducive to having a productive lecture. The students, myself, and the college (who are responsible for the untenable setup) were wholly unsatisfied. I have been lecturing there for 20 years successfully, and now, due to Covid related restrictions am seeing it totally unravel.

What do you do when you present to a large audience in order to get feedback and interaction?

Dear Sir,

I am a secondary school teacher from Hong Kong. Based on the announcement, Zoom will continue to lift the 40-minute time limit on existing accounts through June 30, 2022, for the education account. However, part of my colleges is still having a 40-minute time limit. Might you help us find the answer?

Best regard,

Cyrus

WHY is there no way to store zoom contact locally on zoom app on iPhone?

I have a HIPAA compliant plan with phone. I do not/cannot store my contacts on my phone. Contacts are stored locally on the zoom desktop app but not on my phone? Why? I only have an option to add an iPhone contact on the Zoom app on my phone.

I am curious to know from Healthcare facilities what the opinions are on recording meetings to the cloud.   Due to concerns about HIPAA, our organization does not allow recording to the cloud.  We only allow local recording and then store the recording internally for more control, and security.  Do you allow or not allow cloud recording, and why?

Hello,

Recently I have had a problem with Zoom abruptly closing while I'm teaching.  I have to force quit Zoom and restart the computer to rejoin the meeting.  This is happening almost every day now!  Can anyone help?

I typically use one Chrome window for Zoom and a separate Chrome window for all of the materials I'm linking to during virtual class.

Time limit on basic

I have an educators' account plus I see that Zoom still says it is allowing more than 40 minutes on Basic, but my meetings are signing off in 40 minutes. Anyone know what's up?

Hello!
We're building the e-Learning platform with about 30 teachers available for group courses held online via Video-meetings.

How many licenses should we purchase to be able to run 5 team meetings in parallel with 5-10 participants in each group?

Some more details:
1) We plan to build the platform using Moodle open-source code.
2) All the courses should be organized using the website engine upon purchase of the access by the participants (one teacher and 5-10 participants in each group).

Can't get the answer from Zoom sales for an unknown reason.

Thank you!
