I don't think Zoom Phone is what I thought it was - how do I cancel...?

Hello

I don't want to go into too much detail, but I am desperately trying to find a VoIP solution. I am in a very precarious situation where I do not have access to either a landline (because there isn't one) nor a mobile (because it's been stolen).

I am in need of urgent legal assistance but, as soon as I explain to solicitors that I can't give them a phone number, they stop responding to me, so VoIP is the only solution, and I mistakenly thought that Zoom Phone would work a bit like Skype (RIP), rather than it being a physical device, which is of no use to me. I signed up in desperation I'm so tired, hungry and sick that I'm not thinking straight).

This obviously isn't a business, it's personal use by someone who is trying to keep themselves alive! I can't afford to waste money, so how do I cancel...? And can anyone suggest anything that does what I need...? I have a MacBook Pro (running macOS 15.3.1) and an iPad Pro, running iPadOS 18.3.1.

I just need a VoIP phone replacement, as it seems to be the only way I'm going to be able to access justice. I hope someone can help, my life literally depends on it. I don't have much money, so I can't be wasting what little I do have on something that isn't going to be any use to me.

Thank you

SJ

Hi SJinBristol,

Thank you for dropping your inquiry here at the Zoom Community Page. Zoom Phone is a VOIP solution that you can use even without a hardware or physical device and just use your Macbook Pro with the Zoom App installed on it. I highly suggest that you register and join our Zoom Phone User Training to learn more about usage and see if your use case fits. In this session, you can ask questions live and get answer(s) from our CS team in manning our Q&A in the backend. Hope this helps! If you need further help, let us know and reply here.
