Hello!

I am having some problems using the stylus to draw on Zoom Whiteboards... whenever I draw on it with multiple strokes that start from the same place (like at the top of the letter A) it will select and move the first stroke and draw while moving the first stroke, or just select and move the first stroke and stop drawing. This causes a mess on the whiteboard and I can't really draw what I want to at all. I tried using an iPad and Apple Pencil as well as a Windows tablet and another type of stylus (not sure of the name), and the same thing happens with both devices/styluses. It happens both on the Zoom App and when using Zoom in a web browser. It seems like it's a problem within the platform and may not be something I can fix on my end. I hope this can be fixed soon!!

After the recent zoom update a couple of days ago, my surface pen stops working intermittently when I use the whiteboard during a meeting or when I am annotating on a shared screen. I did not see this problem when I write on a stand-alone zoom whiteboard or on microsoft whiteboard. I restarted my computer and disconnected the pen and paired it again.

I have attached a picture of what I get when I wrote the following sentence on the whiteboard.

"What is wrong with the most recent zoom update? My surface pen does not work"

Anyone experiencing this issue?

Problem 1:

I own a paid Zoom license. I open a new shared Whiteboard. During a meeting some participants are allowed to SEE and WRITE on this board while other participants can only see the board. Logging in in my account where is the switch that ALL participants can WRITE on the board. (As host I have to allow them to enter from the waiting room, therefore there are no uninvited participants)

Problem 2:

Working outside of a meeting on a new whiteboard I have an “insert picture” button in the toolbox.  Using the same board in a meeting, this button is not longer part of the toolbox. It would be nice, to insert a picture DURING a meeting.

Thank you for your help

I used the Whiteboard feature as recently as last week. Today, there are no left-hand icons, so I can't write anything. As a Zoom math tutor, a collaborative whiteboard is pretty important. I'm thinking the screen size got changed? Or I hit something that hid the icons? Talking with support I was told to log out and back on, make sure I had the most updated version, etc. That's all wise, but still no icons! Any suggestions?

I'm new to using the Zoom Whiteboard but I've had nothing but problems with it.

I'm a teacher using it to host a class with 20 participants. My first time using it it worked beautifully for all of 10 minutes. Then I was unable to edit the board anymore. Participants were allowed to edit the board. The second time I did not allow participation and I couldn't even 1 edit done. No lines, no selections, no erase, nothing. The third time, I tested the board while the participants were entering and at first everything seemed fine. I was so relieved. I was able to switch pages and draw even. Then once my class was full, I went to use the whiteboard and I once again could do nothing. Absolutely nothing. I'm ready to give up as I don't have the time to prep my class in two places just to cover my butt if the whiteboard doesn't work and I don't like having to switch to another program on the fly in order to proceed with my class.

Any idea what's going on? Did I switch a setting somehow? Or is this just a very bad glitch that I have to wait for an update for?

I have a Whiteboard opened within a meeting and am unable to find a way to disable the ability for participants to Share (Edit/View access) with people I haven't invited as participants.

For example, in the screenshots below my test student (participant) was able to share Whiteboard access with someone from outside of our meeting.  I have checked all settings inside of the meeting and whiteboard and can't find a way to prevent participants from giving non-participants Whiteboard edit/view access.

However, in the Zoom web portal in the Whiteboard list, if I click the arrow to the right of a Whiteboard's Collaborators, an Invite to Whiteboard box opens.  If I click the little Settings cog at the lower-right of this box, I can uncheck the option, "Users can share at or below their permission level".

This is a lot of hidden steps to get to this setting - is there really no way to do this when you're in a meeting with a Whiteboard open?

I suspect this is incredibly obvious to everyone but me but I can't find it in Zoom's documentation.  For the new Whiteboard, when I click the arrow to the right of the Whiteboard icon at the bottom of a Meeting, there are two Share Whiteboard Options.

What does "Who can start sharing when someone else is sharing?" mean?

The first Option for "Who can share" was confusing enough and it took a LOT of testing to realize that it meant who can add/share a whiteboard within the meeting. It sounds like this setting should control who has the ability to share the whiteboard that displays with users outside of the invited participants.

It also doesn't help that in Zoom's Portal Settings for Whiteboard sharing options, both options have the same information in the information popup.

Can I invite a member to use whiteboard in a meeting?

I want to conduct an important meeting regarding the TCS tracking but another member will explain all the things as he has the material and presentation. Can he use the whiteboard as a member or only I can use this?
