Why if the waiting room is disabled and users join prior to the Zoom Room, does Zoom not assign the Room as the Host? I know it says "joins before meeting host and other participants" but this seems problematic, in that there are situations where a host is never assigned thus limiting full functionality.  We tested this and have run into situations, with clients, where they did not want the waiting room, participants join before the room and the meeting is left without a host. Is this a security feature? What is the purpose of this rule?

Thank you.

We have a Zoom Room solution with a video bar and a touch controller (Poly x30 with TC8) that is installed in a room that has a lot of thru-traffic.  We need a way to lock the touch controller when we leave it and it is not in use so someone else does not come up and use it.  We would prefer that it just ask for a pin to unlock to allow us to use it again.  Is there a way to lock the controller for when we leave the room?

We use a conference speaker in the meeting room so that the camera captures the presenter.

Since we also use a moving second camera with the audio channel turned off in the meeting, we would like the image it produces to be displayed during the hall speeches instead of the number one camera. How could it be done in Zoom?

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/5719956746765-Zoom-error-code-100068000

We were able to join the meeting by clicking the link from a laptop. For what it's worth, the laptop was connected to the same network as the Zoom Room.

Is this expected behavior?

If so is there any way to provide the capability to join meetings host by zoomgov customers from our Zoom Rooms, preferably without ruining anything else?

Hello,

We are an online language school and looking to change to Zoom from January 2023, but we need to be able to use the usernames in our LMS for students and teachers to log into the Zoom classrooms.

We would really appreciate help in figuring out a method or workaround to change the Display name simply (the in-meeting [Rename] feature is not quite suitable.

The main reason is for security - showing your real name in the language school online group classes could lead to another student trying to make unwarranted contact on other social media. And a host of other possible issues with privacy.

And also for teacher-student clarity.

So for example: If we have a class and 3 people named John Smith enter the classroom - it would be impossible for the teacher to know which John...
We would really appreciate an option to have students enter the room using their usual student name as their display name.

If they enter the room with their own username (for example JohnS-US, John-AU, John-NZ)- which is the username in the Reservation System - it is clear to the teacher who just entered, who attended/who was absent, etc.

Our current VOIP classroom provider (Electa Live) already has this feature - since it is basically designed to be compatible with their own LMS and also 3rd party LMS including moodle etc.

Is there any way to implement something similar or a workaround, or a solution - using Zoom?

Really eagerly awaiting a response.
Moses

Hello, today we experienced a problem during a networking event. After a while (1h to 1h30 after the start of the meeting) people coming back to the main room were not able to join a room by themselves (this was the function activated) or even if the host invited them to join a room, nothing happened. Zoom told us that maybe it was a version problem, but we had the latest one.
