I manage a lot of Zoom Rooms for my company, and we experience a high volume of alert emails and tickets anytime the PC is restarted or the App updates. Of course, I go to check each alert and the Zoom Room PCs in question are already back up and running, because it was only "out" for a few minutes. I was thinking maybe there should be an option to delay the Zoom alerts. Maybe do not notify unless the Room is offline for more than 15 minutes. This would cut down on needless office visits to check hardware and we could focus on ones that actually do go down.

I have a few Crestron UC-C100-Z conferencing systems that I manage. They are fairly simple setups with a couple of Aver cameras and a Crestron Airmedia setup for screen sharing.

For the most part they have done exactly what they were designed to do.

Unfortunately, I have one of the units that is exhibiting some issues after power failure. We have our Zoom Room on this unit set up to always use Gallery View. After a power outage, we are finding that it will intermittently switch to Thumbnail view, then back to Gallery. This takes place over a fraction of a second.

Changing any of the view settings will cause this behavior to pause for around 10 minutes, then it will come back.

Every component of the system has been restarted and there has been no change in this behavior. The last time this happened it seemed to resolve itself after a day or two, but our current issues have persisted for most of a week. This is distracting to those using the system and something I would like to remedy.

After reviewing my recordings, I've noticed my participants (and host) seem to be disappearing when I enter screen share mode. It'll start out with a normal gallery view and then suddenly everyone vanishes. I'm currently using Zoom workplace in the basic version and have tried just about every setting that seems logical.

Does anyone know the way to solve this?

Hi

I host a Zoom meeting on a MacBook Pro 10.5.2.

I am seeking clarification on the following points (taken from Zoom article “Send messages to participants in the Waiting Room”).

“1. As the meeting host, click Chat*

2 Click the dropdown next to To:
 (Name)

3. Click Everyone (in Waiting Room).**

4. Enter and send your chat message to the Waiting Room.

Once the message has been sent, the participants in the Waiting Room will see the message on the Waiting Room screen:”

Three simple Questions 😄 …..

*Is it ONLY THE MEETING HOST(rather than the co-host) that can send a message to participants in the Waiting? Y/N

**Does the Host message disappear once those particular participants in the Waiting Room are admitted to the meeting? Y/N

And
Can the participants in the Waiting Room respond to the Host message from the Waiting Room? Y/N

Thank you very much in advance.

my meeting room

I still have the old version on my PC and it works perfectly.
The new zoom workplace is on my laptop and my customers no longer come into the zoom room. They always get the message that I am in another meeting - what can I do?

We've been having problems with our zoom room dell computers. They're running win11 with a kiosk user and uses a Dell 24" touchscreen as the controller. The problem is that every now and then (especially in our more frequently used rooms) the computers crash for no apparent reason. The touchscreen freezes and does not accept input, we can't remotely connect to the computer and we cannot plug in a keyboard to troubleshoot. The computer is dead. Right now our sollution is to physically restart the computer, which is not a viable option at this point.

My question is if someone else out there is having the same problem and if you have found any solution?

I have a ticket with zoom support but I wanted to see if the community has some information regarding this that I cannot seem to find or have heard of.

Thank you!

We have encountered a slightly strange scenario with our Zoom Room's set up whereby, the active speaker window does not show the active speaker in that particular room.

Let's say we have a meeting room with 3 participants

Meeting Room A, which is configured:

  • To display a thumbnail view when no content is shared
  • To display a thumbnail view when content is being shared

Meeting Room B, which is configured:

  • To display a thumbnail view when no content is shared
  • To display a thumbnail view when content is being shared

User C, who is joining the meeting using the laptop and using the latest version of the Zoom client app.

All three users are connected to one common meeting, and all users are seeing the meeting in a thumbnail view with the participants at the top of the screen, and a large active speaker window below that.

The meeting begins and the presenter in Meeting Room A speaks, and then hands over to Meeting Room B and that speaker then speaks.

However, the audience see different things.

In Meeting Room A the audience sees the active speaker in Meeting Room B in the active speaker window - Which is the correct behaviour

User C sees the active speaker in Meeting Room B  in the active speaker window - Which is also the correct behaviour

Meeting Room B continues to see the active speaker as Meeting Room A which is the incorrect behaviour as they should be seeing the speaker in Meeting Room B since they are active, the thumbnail at the top of the screen also highlights Meeting Room B so recognises that this user is the active speaker.

Why would there be a case where the active speaker does not display in Meeting Room B?  This is the scenario that we have, and we cannot work out why this is happening.

Digital Signage URL with Login

I'm currently trying to deploy digital signage that will display a KPI dashboard through Salesforce.  Salesforce requires daily login to the dashboard account.  Is it possible to show a URL on Digital Signage that needs to be logged in?
