I use Zoom everyday to share my screen from my Macbook to my work desktop to the screen (I'm a teacher). Today, I noticed that it was not only switching sharing between my Firefox windows (not tabs, but actual windows) and then also to test, it shared with Finder. This worries me because I often have sensitive student data (like work emails or IEP's).

 

Restarting Zoom ended it, but it scares me that it even happened in the first place. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Some clients and coworkers have issues with my head movement when I walk on the treadmill during Zoom meetings.  Can anyone recommend video stabilization software I could use to resolve?  I use an HD Pro Webcam C920.  If software won't resolve is there a recommended camera that would resolve.

I’m reaching out to see if anyone has faced similar issues with Zoom Meetings (Version 5.15.7) and might have some advice. Despite having a high-speed fiber internet connection, I’ve been experiencing frequent audio and video freezes during my Zoom calls. This is becoming a major concern, especially during important meetings.

 

I suspect it could be related to my current IT solutions, such as my router configuration or firewall settings. I have tried restarting the router and checking for firmware updates, but it didn’t solve the problem. I’m wondering if advanced settings like QoS (Quality of Service), port forwarding, or firewall rules could be interfering with Zoom’s connectivity.

 

Has anyone else had similar problems with Zoom on high-speed internet, and if so, what steps did you take to resolve them? Should I look into optimizing the router or firewall settings to ensure smooth video and audio performance?

 

I would appreciate any advice on diagnosing and fixing this issue. If you have any recommendations for specific configurations or tools that could help, it would be really helpful!

I cant open the downloaded zoom desktop application. I have a mac with the OS Ventura. Every time I try to install it it stops at the last point saying I need to contact help center. And when I try to submit a request Zoom says my email is not associated to an account, although I am logged in. Can anyone help me?

I have an upcoming meeting that could hit the 500-participant cap. I want to understand what the cap means. Is it 500 users at a single moment? Or is it 500 distinct users over the life of the meeting itself?

 

Could I potentially have a list of 1000 people that attended, but fewer than 500 at any given moment?

Annotation during Video Sharing in Advanced Tab

Resolved! Involuntary disconnection

Every time I join a Zoom meeting using the app  from my Android phone, it disconnects after only a few seconds. It automatically reconnects and disconnects again after another few seconds, ad infinitum.

Audio cuts out/gets choppy when I go on mute. Unstable Internet Connection.

When I am on a Zoom conference call (number of participants does not matter) and I put myself on mute, the audio I hear from other participants starts cutting out. I get 2-3 seconds of audio and then 3-5 seconds of nothing. I also get an "Unstable internet connection" notification at some point. However, as soon as I unmute myself, everything is fine and goes back to normal.

Both my wife and I are on different computers (me a MacBook Pro, she a Windows 10 laptop) and are experiencing this problem. Not using VPN. Makes no difference if I am hardwired or using WiFi.

Seems to be a known issue:

Some people seem to have luck "solving" this problem by using a VPN. I've also tried the noise suppression and signal processing options.

This started recently... like a week ago. I've made no change to my operating system or home network. I have 1 Gig with CenturyLink. Have run speed tests when this happens and have great bandwidth (e.g. 850 down and 960 up).

Hi there,

 

My music partner and i have been enjyoing playing together over zoom using live performance audio mode.  We both use audio interfaces and mics during the sessions and all the audio from the mics is transmitting well. However, neither of us is able to hear the other play midi instruments in Logic Pro. In 'original sound for musicians' mode this was not a problem. 

 

Is there a way to share this audio in live performance mode?
