Cancellation Report

Hi

Is it possible to find out when someone cancels their registration i.e. date and time? We have a meeting report of registrants which shows an attendee cancelled their place but we really need to know when they did this.

Thanks.

After recording a couple dozen interviews as the host, I have a recording of a female client that is letter-boxed. The interviewee is the only person in the frame. We recorded a pickup in a separate file moments after the first one, and it had no letter-boxing. Neither of us had changed any settings in between recordings.

In addition, when she shares her screen, it is putting two to three gray boxes over what she is sharing. Sometimes these will clear up on their own, sometimes not.

I have never had this happen before. Any ideas what could be going on?

Thank you!

Waiting room messages

As a HOST when you message the waiting room, other than the people in the waiting room, who else can see the message?

Hello guys, I am new.  Hope you are well and safe.

I teach British Sign language at the University of Cambridge. I am looking into how to improve the Zoom experience for my students. I feel that the lecture needs to be better set up. The BSL teaching is a visual method and I currently use a gallery view because this is the only way students can see me. I tried other settings but with 15 students on my screen, it does not work. Ideally, I would like myself to be seen in the middle of the gallery view and a bit enlarged. We all depend on signing with each other on the main screen and seeing each other well enough. Another option is to set the view to Speaker so your participants could see you in a bigger view but not useful really. Sign language is very much interactive. I tend to design activities on the main screen where everyone can see each other as well as breakout rooms but in breakout rooms, this takes much longer. I am also working on a research project related to an online hybrid version of sign language teaching. We are not talking about the BSL only but other sign languages and there are 600 of them around the world. So, online teaching via Zoom, which I found much better than Teams, can help us to reach out to a global community.

Hope to hear from you

Zrinka

Zooming on shared screen for ChromeOS PWA

Is there a way to change zoom factor on shared screen when using PWA in ChromeOS. right now i only have a full resolution and a fit to screen option showing. pinch to zoom does not apparently work.  Zoom on other platforms can do this.

I've followed the instructions for starting a Zoom call from within Slack.

That works but it assumes the meeting has been started but doesn't give the host (me) the opportunity to start the meeting.

Everyone gets the Join button.

Only once or twice have I seen a Start Meeting pop-up.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Today, I was taking class and I had to share screen (a video) from my tablet. When I started sharing the video, and pressed play, automatically, I couldn't hear the other participants anymore, which is a a problem because my teacher was talking, but I couldn't hear a thing or take notes.

How can I solve this?, how can I be able to share a video from my tablet, but still hearing other participants?

I hope you can help me. Thanks
