My clients started having problems / glitches mid last week when trying to complete payment processes when registering for my Zoom webinars. Some people are able to register and pay, but most of the people are having issues. They all get the same error message "There was a problem completing your payment. Please try again later."

 

I have opened two Zoom Support tickets. I have escalated one ticket to the management. NO one has contacted me for soon 24hrs to give an update. This is very damaging for my small business and frankly, it is very disappointing how Zoom Support is handling the cases. I have been a subscriber to Zoom soon 5 years, do not need to use the Zoom Support very often at all but now that I do, I am not getting the support I need.

 

I have asked my clients to go through all the known steps from Zoom resolution center. 

 

Anyone have experienced anything similar this past week? Any ideas how to proceed? Have you had issues with Zoom Support not giving you updates? How have you proceeded?

Since I quit Zoom between meetings, every time I join a new meeting via clicking on a Zoom link in my calendar, this window pops up:

I do not use this window. I do not want this window to appear simply because I joined a meeting. I close this window every single time it opens.

 

Is there anything I can do to prevent this window from opening every time I join a meeting?

Zoom Meeting code not working

I host a zoom meetings 7 times but my students are facing this issue. When they entered the meeting code they face the issue it has your meeting ID is not working.


What should i do. Should I buy zoom?

Resolved! Substitute for Meta Portal

I used to use the Facebook / Meta Portal as a Zoom device - it sat on top of the TV, had integrated software, camera and microphone and was great for zoom classes etc. when connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. As it no longer supports Zoom (the ic... Show more

I used to use the Facebook / Meta Portal as a Zoom device - it sat on top of the TV, had integrated software, camera and microphone and was great for zoom classes etc. when connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. 

As it no longer supports Zoom (the icon disappeared 31 Jan 2025) can anyone suggest a convenient alternative to avoid having to go back to a PC next to the computer which seems so 'last year'

Missing recording and Meeting Summary

I recently held a Zoom meeting which I recorded, but there is nothing in my Recordings and I received no Meeting Summary via email. How can it be recovered? And how do I avoid this happening again?

I am having an issue when joining a Zoom meeting with my name not being correct. My daughter used my computer for Zoom meetings for her school and now when I go into a meeting, the name on the screen is my daughter's instead of mine. This happens whenever I am in a browser and click "launch meeting," however, when I click on support, it shows my account and my name.  How can I completely logout of my daughter's account so it doesn't automatically link to hers? This is frustrating that I can't talk to a physical person who works with Zoom to figure this out.

Multiple Brokers Meetings at one time.

I am looking to set-up 30 "Broker" meetings.  These Brokers are not related to my company.

  • Brokers already have their own Zoom accounts. 
  • Each Broker meeting would be reoccurring over 5 days and run 8am-5pm.   
  • Each of these Broker meetings would have  Customers join at various times during the day.  
  • I would like to give the Customers a single link to join a specific Broker  ( Link for Broker 1, Link for Broker 2, etc.). 
  • I would like to schedule these 30 meetings and allow the Brokers to have full access (start meeting without me)

What is the best way to accomplish this?

  • Have the Broker assign me scheduling privileges?  How do I manage and review these schedules?
  • Create a single account and add licenses for each Broker (the project is temporary and I don't want to hijack their Zoom accounts) That happened to one of my Zoom account (un-linkable).
  • Create a single account and add 30 licenses under alias emails, then create the meetings and add the Brokers as co-hosts (would the account with 30 licenses be able to run these 30 meeting simultaneously?)

I have spoken with Zoom help on the phone and not had reassuring answers.  Appreciate any help you can offer!

So, the new version (see above) finally brought the new look that was announced earlier with version 6.0.0 (4563). Yes, it looks more modern. 👍

 

But

It removes window decorations like the title bar and the borders. As someone who uses the title bar to see whether a window is "sticky" in a multi-desktop setup (sticky means, it moves around with me while I change desktop), this makes the Zoom app less efficient. In just one day, I had already so many occasions on which I left behind a Zoom window (keep in mind that the stickiness changes whenever someone stops sharing a screen) that I got very disappointed with the change.

 

I looked around in the settings to find something that would bring the window decorations back, but wasn't successful.

 

Does anyone have any pointers how to get window decorations back? Is it even possible? If not, is there any chance the Product Management at Zoom listens? (If I need to edit weird text files, that's fine. 25+ years Linux user here.)
