Hello,

I start meetings from within whiteboards, which is a great zoom feature.

Immediately after the meeting starts, a red color message shows up at the top-middle of the window, telling me how many people are following me, for example:

16 people are following you [stop]

This seems the only dialog in Zoom that has a [stop] button, and I'm worried what happens when I click it. What does stop do? Will it stop these people from following me? Or will the people be disconnected from my whiteboard? Or does it simply make the message go away?

I tried to search for help with the keywords "people are following you", but did not get any useful results.

I'm looking forward to an explanation from this forum.

Thank you.

-R.L.

Hi, after long search and trying out almost every whiteboard platform i picked zoom whiteboard as clear choice. Its wery tought out blend of funcionality and ease of use. There is only one thing, that is missing. Magnification is only 1000%. Its still more then "Miro" but way way less then explaineverything whiteboard. Implementing deeper magnification would be really great and mutch needed. Does anyone know if it might get implemented?

After searching diligently thru prior conversations for annotation controls, I've run across things like this:

  1. In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  2. Click the Meeting tab.
  3. Under In Meeting (Basic), verify that Annotation is enabled.

I have no idea what the navigation panel is (there's nothing labelled as such), and I'm unable to find anything called "account management", "account settings", a "meeting" tab, or an "in meeting (basic)" item. I can locate "Settings" under the "Zoom Workplace" menu, but nothing in the resultant window refers to any of the above, let alone annotation controls.

I don't want my users scribbling all over my screen during my presentation, but I can't find any way to turn off that ability. I'd expect it to be one of the items in the sidebar of the "Settings" window, but it's not. Where is it?

If I create a new whiteboard during a meeting, we can both use it without a problem for that meeting. The next day the whiteboard still shows normal status with no View-Only tag.

A week later, when we meet again, the whiteboard has a View-Only tag added to it automatically without me even logging into zoom or doing anything in between that time. This happens every week when I meet with my teacher.

It can not be removed, you can not choose Collaborating when opening the board because it thinks I am not the owner of my own board.

You can not touch (iPad) or click (PC) on the View-Only displayed at the top to change it in any way.

You must copy the board and create a new one, which will again become View-Only automatically after a week's time before the next meeting.

How in the world do you remove this tag or prevent it from ever being applied to your board in the first place and how do you allow yourself to choose Collaborating.

Also how do you mute the volume on the iPad so you don't hear yourself talking when using a tablet as a whiteboard during a meeting. The tablet is just for drawing on the whiteboard, it shouldn't be trying to host the entire meeting as the PC is doing this job.

Physical pen to draw in zoom whiteboards

Is there a physical pen that I can use to draw in zoom whiteboards, instead of using the trackpad or the mouse?

I notice that no matter how I ask the question, the internet keeps responding by telling me about "Theme" and "Dark mode"!! My question is specific: Can you make the Whiteboard be a Blackboard like you can in Openboard? Yes or No. And if yes where is the instruction. If it cannot be done, then Zoom needs to say so, so that those of us who want that feature can get it elsewhere. Repeat, I am not interested in Dark mode, Dark Theme, etc. I am only interested in turning the Whiteboard into a Blackboard.

I thank the Zoom community iin advance for their response.

I have set up a number of whiteboards (have purchased the whiteboard add on license) and want to share the whiteboards in separate break out rooms. I want the groups to edit the whiteboards in the breakout rooms and bring them back to the main group.

I have not been able to find out how I can share the whiteboards with the breakout groups, I am unable to share the link in the chat as the main chat is wiped when they go into break outs. If I send it as a broadcast message they can't click on the link.

Even if I make it one whiteboard to share across all groups I can't not share it to the breakout rooms like you can with a shared screen.

I have reviewed all similar questions in the community and have found no solution, I have done the training with no solution to this problem shown. Please advise.
