Hello Zoom Support Team,

I am writing to appeal the restriction placed on my PC that is preventing me from joining or hosting meetings. Whenever I try to join a meeting, I receive error code 1 1 3 2, which blocks all access.

I believe this restriction may have been applied by mistake. I use Zoom strictly for legitimate purposes such as online classes, school-related meetings, and educational discussions. I do not engage in any activities that violate Zoom’s Terms of Service, and I have never intentionally misused the platform.

This issue is only occurring on my PC. I am able to access Zoom from other devices, which makes me believe that my computer or IP address may have been incorrectly flagged by the system. I kindly request a review of my account and device to verify this.

Zoom is extremely important for my education, and being unable to join meetings is affecting my ability to attend classes and communicate with teachers and classmates. I assure you that I will continue to follow all Zoom community guidelines and policies.

Please let me know if you require any additional information from my side, such as logs, device details, or account verification.

Thank you for your time and support. I would really appreciate it if this restriction could be lifted.

Sincerely,

I am hosting an event where all participants are going to watch a film together and then discuss in breakout rooms.

I know I can share my screen with the video and use the settings to "optimise for video clip" and "sound" but is that all I can do?

I just want to make sure it is a really smooth viewing process for everybody. It's 1 hour long, so not exactly a video clip!

Thanks!

How can I remove the speaker thumbnail when recording, so that only the shared screen is recorded, and no thumbnail/speaker is shown?

In Settings > Recording, I have disabled "Record active speaker with shared screen", "Record gallery view with shared screen" and "Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately". I have also disabled "Display participants' names in the recording" and "Record thumbnails when sharing".

Finally, in the meeting itself, under Settings > Recording, I have disabled "Display participants' names in the recording".

Despite all this, I'm still getting a small black box for the active speaker in the top right which shows up in the recording, when I only want to see the slide presentation. Previously, I was able to get rid of this box by changing just the meeting setting to remove "Display participants' names in the recording" but now I cannot find any way to get rid of it.

I restarted the desktop version of the application after changing the configuration, but this did not help.

I just upgraded to the latest Zoom version 6.7 on Linux and the icons and fonts in the new navigation menu are far too small (for me).

The Accessibility settings have several scaling options but this excludes the navigation itself.

I am on a high DPI monitor and all other programs scale properly but Zoom seems to ignore the scaling configuration.

My system: Ubuntustudio 24.04

Hello everyone,

I am using the Zoom API in my React.js application to create meetings for users to join.
I have set up a Server-to-Server (Internal) App through the Zoom Marketplace, which allows me to create meetings programmatically. Here is a detailed description of my setup and the issue I am facing:

  • Objective: My goal is to create multiple Zoom meetings using a single Zoom account, where participants can join, but the host account never joins the meetings. The account is solely used for scheduling/creating the meetings.
  • Challenge: I understand that Zoom imposes a limitation where a single account cannot host more than one meeting at the same time. However, since the host (the account creating the meetings) never joins, I would like clarification on whether it’s possible to create and manage multiple meetings simultaneously using this account without encountering any issues.
  • Technical Details:
    • I have enabled the Join Before Host option when creating meetings (join_before_host: true).
    • The meetings are created through API calls, and the users are provided with the join links to participate in the meetings.
    • We need to create multiple meetings that may overlap in time, but again, the host will not be joining.

Could you confirm if this setup allows me to create multiple meetings concurrently, given that the host will not be attending? If there are any best practices or limitations I should be aware of, please let me know.

Thank you for your assistance.

FEATURE SUGGESTION: Recording option flexibility

Is it possible to still have accounts recording locked, but "Opt out" certain recurring meetings?

A spammy online marketer keeps sending me Zoom email invites, and it's clogging up my inbox. I never subscribed to their thing and there isn't a way to unsubscribe/remove from list through the zoom invites that I can find. I don't want to block the emails because it will block all Zoom meeting invites and I do need access for work purposes. Nor do I want to just create a new folder because real meetings will get lost in the spammy jungle. Does zoom have no way to ask to be removed from someone's meetings?
