Received an unexpected email from Secure Zoom Document with an invitation to View an attached document.  Don't know the sender.  As a CPA and Tax Preparer I do not open attachments that are emailed.  I have no idea why I got this and no way of determining whether its legit.  Tried other ways to tell Zoom but since I am on a free version, no luck

Any help is appreciated.

Zoom Business account - newest version of Zoom-App on Windows 10 - Integration of  Zoom in Outlook is not marked and I don't work with Outlook (it is even not installed on my Notebook)

Somehow Zoom always triggers the installation process of Outlook and this even pops up during Meetings (even though system notifications are not allowed). This all is really annoying.

What can I do to totally switch off the calendar feature (we don't work with it) in Zoom (even in the business account itself or at least in the local Zoom-App)? Didn't find a switch or anything! There are only the three possibilities of connecting calendars but no switch to turn the calendar function off.

Thanks for your hints, tipps and feedback.

We may mostly be independent workers : I suppose Zoom prefers getting  big firms subscriptions. So we pay... but I guess integrating Ical cost them too much.  Disappointing. And NO and I don't want to ad another calendar. because... an app is supposed to make our life easier. not forcing us to add complexity.

Resolved! Google Calendar events with no zoom meeting link showing on Zoom Room

We have this scenario where a "personal" Zoom Room for an executive using an office with glass walls needs his calendar events (coming from Google) that are not linked to a Zoom meeting itself, not to show in the list, only the ones with a zoom meeting link associated. So the idea would be if he has a meeting or interview that is face to face, that this specific event from his calendar do not show in the Zoom Room events list on his office's TV.

I'd like to sync my Apple macOS Calendar with my Zoom MacOS desktop client. I clicked on the link to connect my calendar, and it presents me with a dialog box where I can either

  • Create Zoom Calendar
  • Sign in with Google
  • Sign in with Microsoft

I clicked Create Zoom Calendar. It then switches to my default browser and drops me in to my profile in the Zoom web client. But it doesn't give any indication of what I'm supposed to do here. Any advice would be appreciated.

About a week ago, I noticed that my Zoom meetings were no longer being stored in the Zoom app itself even though I had exported the information successfully to my iCal. I then noticed the Zoom app was saying that I had not connected a calendar. As I see on other parts of this forum, there does not seem to be support for iCal. What is worse, is that, having unsuccessfully tried to connect a calendar, I now do not seem to be able to schedule a meeting at all. Can someone in Zoom Technical please contact me urgently to talk me through what needs doing? I am writing from the UK / GMT. I also do not want to start doing a calendar in Office 365 or Google.

Zoom hates Apple. Why? I left Zoom 4 years ago because I could not justify the expense. Now I'm back and it turns out the meagre integration with iCal is even worse (nonexistent?) than before. My workaround is to simply use the PMI link when scheduling meetings in iCal -- meaning: I do not get anywhere near the full value out of Zoom Pro. Seriously?

(Thanks @Realmaverick for the tip on using TextReplace - that works like a charm!)

How do I get someone to stop spamming me with their zoom meeting invites?

A spammy online marketer keeps sending me Zoom email invites, and it's clogging up my inbox. I never subscribed to their thing and there isn't a way to unsubscribe/remove from list through the zoom invites that I can find. I don't want to block the emails because it will block all Zoom meeting invites and I do need access for work purposes. Nor do I want to just create a new folder because real meetings will get lost in the spammy jungle. Does zoom have no way to ask to be removed from someone's meetings?
