Zoom meetings suddenly stopped integrating with iCalendar as a calendar option

n the past, when I schedule a Zoom meeting in my zoom pro account, it would either automatically pop up in my calendar where I add invitees, or I could click More Options and choose icalendar as my preferred external calendar.  Neither works today!   It's as if Zoom start recognizing icalendar as an option.  Anyone else have this problem -- and a solution?  I restarted laptop and both apps and checked for a setting to reset but found no option to (re)integart with apple's iCalendar.

Hi,

Could you try using the the Zoom desktop client instead of the Zoom website.

When you would be scheduling a meeting from the 'Home' tab in the Zoom desktop client, click on 'schedule', then select 'more options'.....Scroll down and check 'Use an external Calendar'.... where you should be able to choose iCalendar

Is there a way to set Use an external calendar to on as the default? I think it used to work, but now I have go into more options and click on Use external calendar every time I schedule a meeting.

The iCal option has been removed.

I think that option is exactly what's now disabled. My iCal is checked in there. But it no longer automatically transfers.

If you want Zoom Scheduler to automatically populate Apple Calendar events, that’s not possible today. Your best bet is either manually importing the ICS invite or using a third-party scheduler that supports iCloud + Zoom integration.  If you're deeply integrated into Apple’s ecosystem and want smooth scheduling with Apple Calendar (iCal), your best alternative to Zoom is FaceTime, Google Meet, or Webex, depending on your needs.

The removal of calendar integration for Apple iCal users is very frustrating. Is Zoom telling us to close our accounts and switch? No communication as to why it was suddenly removed or when if at all it will be re-established.

IMHO all the changes are bad. Nothing is easier. Everything's harder. It doesn't just not transfer automatically. I also can't figure out how to copy the meeting info so that I can paste it into iCal. It kind of proves that zoom folks have lost their minds. Not a clever move. I'm going to scope out other options.

I figured it out. If you open the meeting calendar on the zoom on your desktop, then click on the three dots to the right, 'copy invitation' is an option. So you can click that and that put's it on your clipboard so you can paste it into iCal and also into emails.
