not switching screens on whiteboard

During a presentation, I switch between whiteboard pages but participants have to change it manually and it causes confusion. Is there a way that when I create a new page and start editing it, the participants are automatically seeing this screen?

Double clicking the whiteboard makes it go fullscreen. This would not usually be a problem, but when using a separate writing tablet, we will often inadvertently double tap the stylus when writing quickly. This causes us to continuously alternate between going full screen and windowed, which is seriously disturbing to the class.

Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps by disabling the double click feature?

I've been using the Zoom Whiteboard (not the physical whiteboard) on my computer with a Wacom drawing tablet.  Unfortunately, something has changed and now my penstrokes are being eaten and replaced with dots.  I believe this is some kind of double click detection or some other gesture.

Here I try to write the especially problematic letter "F" 7 times.  It failed each time.

Josh_314_0-1663616109414.png

Here I tried to write the simple equation "y = mx + b"

Josh_314_1-1663616181981.png

And here I wrote the alphabet and "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" without corrections.

Each of these was done with Windows Ink active and has a little Windows Ink ripple effect whenever it happens.  When I disable Windows Ink, it still happens, but without the ripple and less frequently.

Is this a known problem with a known fix?  It makes it pretty much impossible to use the whiteboard.

EDIT:  I accidentally added this discussion to the wrong place, but I don't see how to move or delete it.

Is there a comprehensive list of the original Classic Whiteboard features or a comparison list between Classic and New Whiteboard?  I'm featuring the new Whiteboard in a newsletter I'm writing for my work and never had an opportunity to use the previous Whiteboard so have no idea of what features carried over and what the new goodies are.

For example, in classic Whiteboard, were connector arrows available to connect shapes?  I know there are others.  Any help would be appreciated!

Is anybody trying to use the new zoom whiteboard with trainees or students? I would love to introduce this new tool to the teachers that I work with, however, I don't see a way around letting them collaborate on the whiteboard without forcing them to log into their zoom account. Also, some of them don't have a Zoom account. Is there a workaround for this? When working with Google jamboard, you have the option to invite anybody with the link to edit a jamboard. Is this not a feature of the new Zoom whiteboard? Thanks!

Pasting onto a whiteboard?

I'm working with Zoom on a Mac. I can see that I have content on the Mac clipboard but the 'paste' option is greyed out on Zoom's whiteboard. How do I paste an item onto the whiteboard?

Thanks for your help!

Hello!

I am having some problems using the stylus to draw on Zoom Whiteboards... whenever I draw on it with multiple strokes that start from the same place (like at the top of the letter A) it will select and move the first stroke and draw while moving the first stroke, or just select and move the first stroke and stop drawing. This causes a mess on the whiteboard and I can't really draw what I want to at all. I tried using an iPad and Apple Pencil as well as a Windows tablet and another type of stylus (not sure of the name), and the same thing happens with both devices/styluses. It happens both on the Zoom App and when using Zoom in a web browser. It seems like it's a problem within the platform and may not be something I can fix on my end. I hope this can be fixed soon!!

After the recent zoom update a couple of days ago, my surface pen stops working intermittently when I use the whiteboard during a meeting or when I am annotating on a shared screen. I did not see this problem when I write on a stand-alone zoom whiteboard or on microsoft whiteboard. I restarted my computer and disconnected the pen and paired it again.

I have attached a picture of what I get when I wrote the following sentence on the whiteboard.

"What is wrong with the most recent zoom update? My surface pen does not work"

Anyone experiencing this issue?

Problem 1:

I own a paid Zoom license. I open a new shared Whiteboard. During a meeting some participants are allowed to SEE and WRITE on this board while other participants can only see the board. Logging in in my account where is the switch that ALL participants can WRITE on the board. (As host I have to allow them to enter from the waiting room, therefore there are no uninvited participants)

Problem 2:

Working outside of a meeting on a new whiteboard I have an “insert picture” button in the toolbox.  Using the same board in a meeting, this button is not longer part of the toolbox. It would be nice, to insert a picture DURING a meeting.

Thank you for your help
