Our institution is new to Zoom Rooms, and we were wondering if there's a way to restrict which users can/cannot reserve the room when scheduling.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hello @marafinom ,
There are couple things you can do to restrict Zoom Room Scheduling:
1. Disable instant room reservations
Sign in to the Zoom web portal, click Room Management > Zoom Rooms. Click Edit next to the room you want to change, then the Scheduling Display tab. Toggle Instant Room Reservation to disable it.
2. Require user authentication
This feature limits reservations to verified users. When enabled, users can scan a QR code or enter their email to authenticate themselves before booking a room. Without a Zoom account, users won't be able to reserve a workspace.
3. Set operating times
Sign in to the Zoom web portal, click Room Management > Zoom Rooms. Scroll to Setup, then toggle Device Operation Time. Select Control with Schedule, then enter the start and end times for when the room will be in use. Choose which days the room will be in use, and which devices to turn off or dim during those times. Click Save.
I hope that this provides the information you need, reply if you have any further questions. Otherwise, consider marking this post a "Accept as Solution" so other Zoom Community members may find this solution as well!
Cheers!
