On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

New to Zoom Phone, please help!

I am new to zoom phone and need help! I have read through the previous discussions on this topic but cannot figure it out. I am a one person business. One person will be answering the phone. I want the phone to ring and then go to voicemail if not answered. Can someone please help me accomplish this? I do not want an IVR to answer and I do not want a caller to need to enter an extension.

It's very frustrating that this is so hard to accomplish! I am ready to use a different VOIP option.

hi hilaryh,

Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Auto Receptionists.

Click the auto receptionist that displays Main Auto Receptionist after its name.

Change the auto receptionist routing option:

from route to interactive voice response (ivr)

to route incoming calls to your user extension.

Select your extension and click OK.
