Okay… so forget the title of this topic! With a little more experience, I’ve determined that Toggle Headings is indeed “a thing” in Zoom Canvas… it just works a bit differently. The issue is really just in my head: I’ve been fooled by Notion into thinking that having the ability to create a Toggle Heading is a good thing. But the reality in Zoom Canvas is much, much better: Every Heading is a toggle heading! You don’t create a Toggle Heading specifically when you want one. I’ll say it again: Every Heading is a toggle heading!Simply create headings at the appropriate levels. A Heading Level 1 in Canvas will show the triangle when you hove over it:See the “Click to collapse”. Clicking on that at the Heading 1 level give you this:Now if I click it again to expand, and then click the next Heading 2 item, I get this:Only the first Heading 2 Subtopic is collapsed and the remaining/succeeding ones are left expanded. If I click the first one to expand it, and then hold down Control when I
Just got a 2024 Apple M4 and downloaded the newest Zoom app... I cannot for the life of me stop this camera from auto focusing and moving with me. All the help documents tell to do things that don't exist in Zoom Workplace!!! It's so annoying and every time I move a hand the camera zooms in and out, I want it to go back to solid!
Hi everyone,I recently started hosting small online game sessions with friends using Zoom, and one activity that has worked surprisingly well is the Letter Boxed word puzzle game. Since participants only need to see the puzzle and discuss possible word combinations, Zoom's screen sharing and annotation features make the experience very interactive.I'm curious if anyone else uses Zoom for puzzle-solving sessions, educational word games, or team-building activities similar to Letter Boxed. Have you found any specific Zoom features that improve collaboration, such as breakout rooms, whiteboards, or annotations? We're always looking for ways to make our virtual game nights more engaging, so I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have. Thanks!
Our supervisors have access to listen, whisper, and barge into their reports’ calls with no issues, but the button to preview call transcripts appears intermittently. About 75% of the time, the button is greyed out, but for some calls they can click the blue preview button and pop out the live call transcript. I haven’t seen anything about this feature in CC support docs. Has anyone else experienced this, or know if it’s a permission setting on the super or agent end we could fix?

Hello,I have installed the Zoom Client (version 7.0.5) via DEB (I also tried the older SNAP version). The client won't let me log in. I use SSO to log in. I am redirected to the Zoom web page where I can log in successfully and even start a meeting. However, the app does not recognise the information about my login. There is no error message - starting via terminal won’t give any hints either.Any suggestions?
Hello Zoom Community, I’m running into an issue where the same scheduled event ends up with two different Meeting IDs, causing attendees and hosts to get split into two completely separate virtual rooms.Has anyone else experienced this split-ID issue with Zoom Scheduler? Are there any backend settings or workflow best practices to force Zoom to update the existing meeting ID rather than generating a duplicate series? Appreciate any insights!
Hi!There is a new feature in version 6.1.10 where a banner is present in every chat showing External members are present. Is there a way to disable that? It is very annoying and distracting. Thanks in advance.Ana
I wanted to trim the last three minutes of a Zoom cloud recording. I thought I was supposed to mark the part of the recording to “Trim”, instead I only have remaining those 3 minutes that I didn’t want. I looked for guidance and could only find advice that I was supposed to return to the video and click on “restore” there is no such option. I have now lost the entire recording except for the part i don’t want! How do i get it back?
Hi Zoom Team and Community,I’d like to request a new feature to improve daily workflows:Please add an option to change the presence status (“Available”, “Do Not Disturb”, “Away”) using user-defined shortcuts and global hotkeys.Currently, this requires multiple manual clicks via the profile menu. Many collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack) already support quick status switching, even through peripheral devices like Stream Deck or macro keys. Why it’s useful:Reduces interruptions and manual stepsAligns with existing audio/video shortcutsSaves time in hybrid or remote work setupsEnables automation with hardware buttons or productivity keyboardsPlease consider adding this to make Zoom even more efficient for power users. Happy to discuss ideas with other community members!Thank you for your support!SBardosi
Hello Zoom Team and Community,I'm reaching out to request an important feature for Arabic-speaking users of Zoom Workplace.Currently, when we type messages in Arabic (especially when mixed with English), the chat interface does not display them properly — the text alignment is left-to-right, which causes confusion and makes the messages hard to read. This affects not only readability but also the overall communication experience for Arabic users. It would be incredibly helpful if Zoom Workplace could support **right-to-left (RTL)** text rendering in chat, similar to how other platforms handle Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian. This is essential for teams working in multilingual environments and would make Zoom more inclusive and user-friendly.I hope this can be passed on to the product team, and I’d appreciate any updates or workarounds from the community in the meantime.Thank you!– Salah
Hi all, I have a user who has limited options in Zoom Scheduler, as you can see in image 1. Myself and others have more features available within the Scheduler, as shown in image 2. I have confirmed that we all have the exact same 'Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus' license. I would like to know if there is something that needs to be enabled in the admin portal specifically for this user?Third image shows all licenses and features for the user in question and this is the same for all others. Thanks
Dear friend, I can't change the virtual background and that function is not included in my phone. How can I proceed?
This is so frustrating. We bought a license but it doenst work and have to speak to a chatbot.
I have been constantly struggling with Zoom syncing my profile picture from gmail everyday. I have to attend a lot of demo calls and I feel uncomfortable with my profile picture being present. I have tried deleting it from my Zoom account, but it keeps getting back on my profile. Is there a solution for this?
I have four displays, with virtual screens on one of them. The latter can be assigned by dragging the menu bar to it in the System Settings app, Display, “Arrange...” button. If the Zoom Workplace window is on that screen, when I select “About Zoom Workplace” from the menu bar, the About window pops up on to of the Workplace window. The Workplace window is greyed out until the close button is clicked on the pop-up window, or the Esc button is pressed on the keyboard. If it is on any other screen, the About window is off-screen to the right; i.e. invisible. This can be seen by pressing the Exposé button on the keyboard (F3 on recent MacBooks).I’ve reproduced this on Version: 7.0.0 (77593), but it was present on my previous version as well (of which I couldn’t figure out which version it was because of this problem; until I recently figured out that it behaves correctly on one of the displays.)
Hi.We are using Zoom calendar integration with our on-prem exchange 2016 and have encountered the following problem. When a user attempts to create a meeting in the Zoom Workplace, a service selection window opens. The user selects Exchange, which then opens Outlook, where the user enters the meeting details. The meeting then appears in the Outlook calendar and in Zoom. However, Zoom displays the meeting as if it was created by another user, and therefore it cannot be edited or canceled. Why does a user-created meeting in Zoom's calendar appear as if it was created by someone else? Or it is by design? One detail (I don't know how important it is): User logs in into zoom by it’s corporate email, which is something like user@company.com, but when uses configure calendar sync he use company login, which something like user@domain.local
Hello Community,We are facing a major issue with the Smart Name Tags (both Video and Voice) feature in our Zoom Rooms setup. The system fails to recognize participants automatically, forcing us into a completely manual workflow. On top of that, the detection is highly inaccurate. Our Setup: Licenses: Zoom Rooms Subscription + Zoom Workplace Pro. Profiles: All recurring participants have created and saved their unique audio/voice profiles. Settings: All necessary admin policies are enabled, and the expected participants are explicitly added to the meeting invitations by name. Language: 99% of our meetings are conducted in Hungarian, meaning the spoken language is Hungarian. Voice profiles were recorded successfully. The Problem:Instead of automatic identification, the system requires us to manually assign names to the detected voices. This creates a massive workflow bottleneck when hosting meetings with 7–8 people in the room: Real-time confusion: In the "Voice" management section,
Hi everyone,I’m Darshan Hiranandani, I'd like to kindly ask if anyone has any information on when Zoom will be adding Arabic language support to the platform. As many native Arabic speakers use Zoom for lectures, online meetings, and conferences, the lack of Arabic language options can be a significant challenge. Many users struggle with basic Zoom functionalities like opening the platform, muting/unmuting participants, or downloading cloud recordings simply because of the language barrier. Adding Arabic would make the platform much more accessible and user-friendly for a large group of people who rely on Zoom.I believe this would not only help millions of Arabic-speaking users but also attract new users to Zoom as a more convenient and inclusive platform.Has anyone heard any updates on this? Or do you have any tips for working around the language issue in the meantime?Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Thanks in advance!RegardsDarshan Hiranandani
Key takeawaysThe trick to looking natural on Zoom is eyeline, not memory. Get your script close to the lens and most of the problem goes away. Almost every teleprompter method falls apart the second you share your screen. That is the part this guide actually solves. You can run a prompter that you see clearly but your viewers and your recording never do. Setup takes about five minutes. You join a Zoom call, you have a few key points to hit, and you tell yourself you will just remember them. Then the call starts. Your mind goes blank, your eyes drift to the sticky note on the side of your monitor, and everyone watching sees that little side glance. You look unsure, even when you know your stuff cold. Here is the good news. That nervous glance is not a confidence problem. It is a setup problem, and it is fixable. By the end of this you will be able to read a script on Zoom and still look people in the eye, even on the calls where you have to share your screen.Let me walk you through it.On
The Voicemail tab has the ability to mark messages as "unread" but the SMS tab does not. Often I get an SMS and need to check it to see if it's an emergency...and if not I want to mark it as Unread so I remember to check it again later. Seems like a pretty standard feature...and hopefully easy to implement. Can this be added? Also hoping to get some thumbs-up here to help Zoom realize this is of value. Thanks!
I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to troubleshoot an audio issue. I have an issue where every so often my Zoom audio will cut out for 1-3 seconds although the video continues. While not frequent, it means I can miss key pieces of information. (a) This is not a standard connectivity issue -- the video continues without lagging or interruption(b) This is not a standard speaker/audio source issue -- it lasts only a few seconds and it does not occur on other programs, only on Zoom(c) This is not an issue with the speaker's audio -- it occurs across a range of meetings I'm in and I'm the only one who experiences the loss What can I do to troubleshoot?
My virtual background app was working on my pc, my ipad and my iphone. I don’t know what happened but it no longer shows the many virtual backgrounds that was available on the app. I’ve gone through troubleshooting with the virtual agent and it was unable to solve my problem. The option for virtual backgrounds is enabled and I’ve already disabled, refreshed, and re-enabled it but it didn’t work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the zoom app on my desktop. I’m signed out of all my devices and only have one signin on my pc. I’ve checked the C:\Users\ABC\AppData\Local\Zoom\data and there is no virtual background to delete. I’ve tried clearing zoom cache and none of these have worked. I am on a free account and can’t submit a ticket. Please help! I am out of options.
Hi all, Manually adding members to a Call Queue's Voicemail Access Member list one at a time is very tedious and time consuming. Please can we have an option to automatically add all Call Queue Members into the Voicemail Access Member list? Or, at least let us add more than one user at a time and not have to click each little tick box for the permission we want to give them? Many thanks,D
Before anyone replies, please note that I personally understand how to navigate this issue and am not asking how to do it - I am merely recommending software improvement I work in IT classroom/conference/event support at a university, and a big part of my job is helping people set up hybrid meetings in Zoom. I very frequently get asked for help screen sharing powerpoints, as the majority of users I help find the interaction to be very confusing. And indeed, I believe it is unnecessarily cumbersome in 2 major ways -1. It is not intuitive to most people that they must put the powerpoint in full screen before sharing if they are using presenter mode while the computer is set to duplicate displays - and even if they aren't, people are often inclined to share the window rather than the screen, since they see the option to select powerpoint and think "oh, that's what I want to share." The confusion increases when people switch between powerpoint presentations.2. When u
