External members present banner added to new version

Hi!

There is a new feature in version 6.1.10 where a banner is present in every chat showing External members are present. Is there a way to disable that? It is very annoying and distracting.

Thanks in advance.

Very annoying. Good job, Zoom.

The External member present message makes me wonder who else is seeing our messages. Makes me very uneasy about using the chat function. Why does Zoom feel this is necessary and why are they not answering the question. The pop up suggests that everyone in the organisation is able to see the messages.

Is there a way to turn this off?  It’s distracting and keeps covering the area where I am trying to type.  I’ll happily make a registry setting adjustment to get rid of it. Please someone tell me how.

Agreed this is completely unnecessary - at least let us choose if we want to have this ‘security’ message display or not. 99% of my contacts and groups have an external member, if we didn’t want them in there we’d just kick them out, so not sure why they’re making this a permanent eyesore - it always makes me think someone is wrong or something is going on in that chat… but nope…

Hi! As far as I know, there is not an option to disable that banner in version 6.1.10. It is a built in notification designed to remind users when external members are part of the conversation.

If it is affecting your workflow, I'd recommend submitting feedback to the developers. If enough users report that it's distracting, they may consider adding a setting to hide or minimize it in a future update.

I am always impressed how product designers think in silo.

This banner is SO CUMBERSOME.
