Zoom Workplace for MacOS shows "About Zoom Workplace" off-screen

I have four displays, with virtual screens on one of them. The latter can be assigned by dragging the menu bar to it in the System Settings app, Display, “Arrange...” button.

If the Zoom Workplace window is on that screen, when I select “About Zoom Workplace” from the menu bar, the About window pops up on to of the  Workplace window. The Workplace window is greyed out until the close button is clicked on the pop-up window, or the Esc button is pressed on the keyboard.

If it is on any other screen, the About window is off-screen to the right; i.e. invisible. This can be seen by pressing the Exposé button on the keyboard (F3 on recent MacBooks).

I’ve reproduced this on Version: 7.0.0 (77593), but it was present on my previous version as well (of which I couldn’t figure out which version it was because of this problem; until I recently figured out that it behaves correctly on one of the displays.)

Thanks for the detailed report. I can reproduce similar behavior on a multi-monitor setup where one display is configured as the primary display by moving the menu bar. It seems the “About Zoom Workplace” dialog is being positioned relative to a different screen than the main application window.

A few things that may help the developers investigate:

    • The issue only occurs when Zoom is on displays other than the one currently hosting the menu bar.

    • The About window appears off-screen to the right and is visible only through Mission Control/Exposé.

    • Zoom becomes unresponsive because the hidden About dialog is modal and must be closed before interaction can continue.

    • The behavior was present in earlier versions and is still reproducible in Zoom Workplace 7.0.0 (77593).

This looks like a dialog positioning bug in multi-monitor environments. Hopefully the team can reproduce it and include a fix in a future release.
