Request: Add shortcut & global hotkey support for quick status change
Hi Zoom Team and Community,
I’d like to request a new feature to improve daily workflows:
Please add an option to change the presence status (“Available”, “Do Not Disturb”, “Away”) using user-defined shortcuts and global hotkeys.
Currently, this requires multiple manual clicks via the profile menu. Many collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack) already support quick status switching, even through peripheral devices like Stream Deck or macro keys.
Why it’s useful:
Reduces interruptions and manual steps
Aligns with existing audio/video shortcuts
Saves time in hybrid or remote work setups
Enables automation with hardware buttons or productivity keyboards
Please consider adding this to make Zoom even more efficient for power users. Happy to discuss ideas with other community members!
