We are exploring Workspace Management but have some requirements which I am not sure will be met.  Hopefully, I am missing something. 

 

Our organization does not use Zoom Phone and does not require users to install Zoom on personal phones.  The main requirement is that users can only check-in to a desk if they are physically in the office.  Is there some way to only allow check-in at a kiosk for those who don't want to load Zoom on their cell phone and put QR codes at desk locations for those who have Zoom on their cell phone?  Is there some better or easier way?

 

The second requirement is to assign the schedule on behalf of right to one or two people for each team.  When you are talking about 20 teams and 4000 users that is going to be hard to manage with .csv file imports.  Has anyone figured out a better way to do this?

Reporting on Zoom Workspace reservation; custom Workspace type

We use a custom workspace type "parking space" for reserving parking spaces. It works excellent. 

 

Until the beginning of June, we used the dashboard, Workspaces to get a download of all the reservations made for that day. Something has changed now in the Workspaces dashboard: we can only see Workspace reservation of type Desk and Room. The filter on the top right Workspace Type does not have the possibility to select Custom workspace type.

 

Is there another way to download reservation on a custom Workspace Type? We do not have the capability to make API's.

We would like to add some Fleet vehicles in Workspace Reservation. I don't want to use "desk" as the asset type but instead created a new type of Vehicle. However, when I add a new workspace as a vehicle, it doesn't give the option for a calendar and doesn't give access to all the settings. Is there a way around this?

Reservation via API for other users, when workspaces is set to "Restrict reservations to in-person"

Hi. We are using Zoom Workspaces to let users to view the availability of workspaces. We are not letting the users reserve for themselves because of bad past experiences so we are using a form with an approval proccess in another platform. We are sending the reservations via API once approved. The problem is that if the space is set to "Restrict reservations to in-person only", which is intentional, a reservation cannot be made. Can I send the space admin id through the payload so the request mimics the admin ability to reserve for others?  Is there a workaround to handle this?

We are setting up Workspace reservation for the first time and encountering a problem. When I reserve a room and add an additional person, that person receives two emails and two calendar invites. They receive one email from me and a second email from Domain Admin. This is also creating two calendar events on the recipient's calendar. How do we stop the system from sending the email from Domain Admin so that recipients only receive emails from the user that added them to a reservation?

Bulk import of Workspace Reservations

We would like to use Workspace Reservation on our campus as a space booking - is there a way to bulk import workspace reservations for a recurring class.  Is there a integration we can utilize with our SIS (PowerCampus)?

Booking a workspace Reservation in a different time zone to the user

When a US based colleague booked a Zoom desk (Workspace Reservation) for our UK office, Zoom displayed the times for the time zone they were currently in, not GMT. There is no indication that it’s doing this. Thus when this colleague booked from LA, ... Show more

When a US based colleague booked a Zoom desk (Workspace Reservation) for our UK office, Zoom displayed the times for the time zone they were currently in, not GMT. There is no indication that it’s doing this. Thus when this colleague booked from LA, the  reservation was actually made for 5pm GMT, and the desk was unavailable as someone else had booked it for 10am GMT. 

 

Does anyone know if this is a setting where the bookings can be linked to the workspace reservation's time zone or it would be a new feature?

Q1.I wanted to know if Zoom provides any tool to reserve a whole floor through the Workspace Reservation since some departments at my organization would reserve in the future the entire floor for the Zoom rooms (8 to 10 breakout rooms per floor at my organization). Or is the any solution for this kind of reservation?

 

Q2. I have noticed in the calendar when reserving a hot desk, the user is allow to reserve with the set of rules that were provided in the settings, but I can turn off the recurrence option for showing when reserving through the app? Furthermore, when reserving a Zoom Room, user is not able to change the day to reserve the room? Please need some guidance. Thank you!
