Is there a way to persistently connect (pair) a Zoom Rooms tablet controller to a Zoom Room on a different network?
If the tablet is on WiFi and on a different VLAN and subnet for example?
Thanks,
Rupert

Hi @Rupert , the Zoom Room Controller needs to communicate over the network on TCP9090 to the Zoom Room bidirectionally as detailed in this article.
This should cover all of the needed firewall ports. As long as you can enable these to move successfully across your network, you should be good to go!

But why is that restriction in place? The remote control link (like https://zoom.us/zrc?nodeId=xxxx) also works fine so a controller table should also be able to work from another network.
Would be nice if this is fixed, because we have a WiFi network where every device is isolated, and now we have to set up a separate network just for this tablet...

I have a follow-up question to this. What if the Zoom Room controller is on a different VLAN from what the schedule display is on? We've run into the error that says:
"Make sure Zoom Rooms is signed in"
"Set this device and Zoom Rooms to the same network"
Zoom Rooms is signed in so it looks like it's a VLAN issue, correct?
Thank you,
Doug

I did try the firewall settings suggested above to no avail.

Hi, dfaubus.
Controller and Room needs to be on the same VLAN or able to reach each other.
