Is there a way to have a standard cover page added to the beginning of outgoing faxes? Perhaps this is an antiquated practice but many individuals are likely to want to include a cover page with a fax. Certainly we could manually add a cover page to each fax but looking for a more automated solution. If there is not an efficient way to do this currently, does Zoom intend to add this feature?

hi @rhelder
On your fax cover page, do you have a direct telephone number with a calling plan for the fax number?
thanks, eliot

Hi @Eliot - that could be my problem... we are in the final setup stages of Zoom Phone and haven't ported over our existing phone or dedicated fax numbers yet. I was using our "live" fax number on the cover sheet, not a number that's in our Zoom Phone account. I will try with a new template using a Zoom Phone number instead.
I had assumed that by setting up a cover all the data in the defined fields would just be static, but it seems like that's not the case? If so, is there anywhere in the Zoom docs that calls this out?
EDIT: this was, in fact, exactly my problem! Edited my cover page templates to use phone and fax numbers that are currently active in my Zoom Phone system and now the cover pages work exactly as expected! Whenever we port over all our numbers I'll just have to remember to update my fax cover pages. Thank you @Eliot !

Agreed. This would be a requirement for my organization to use Zoom Fax. In fact, we just deployed what we call "Zoom Fax" which is the FaxSIPit app through the Zoom client, which does have cover pages. Unfortunately it comes at a cost, whereas the Zoom Fax service appears to be included with our Zoom Phone service, so it would be nice if we could manage cover pages.

We are considering the Online Fax option. The cover page option would be great to have.

There is a way to add a standard cover page to outgoing faxes but it may need to be added manually each time. Some fax systems don’t add it automatically. Many people still like to use a cover page. If Zoom doesn’t support this now, they may add it in the future.

Well that explains it. I had the impression it was available now while reading the support article about it. On my phone it has the option for templates, but loads a blank page. On MacOS there is no template button I can find at all.

Was this feature released? I can setup a cover sheet but cannot select one in the client.

hi @zoom_tim
fax cover page is here.
set up and edit cover pages at
Web Portal > Phone System Management > Company Info > Account Settings > Settings tab > scroll down until you see the Fax section > Fax Covers
admin needs to set up the cover pages which then can be selected by users creating faxes.

hi @JamesRonald
I have made a fax cover page which I can select from Fax tab on Zoom Workplace clients such as Windows and iOS. This is nice because it tells the receiver on the fax cover page how many pages including cover page are being sent and permits the addition of notes on the cover page.
Sometimes I create a fax cover page with Word and save as a .pdf. The use case is sending a lot of faxes to the same recipient. I add this cover page as the first .pdf document uploaded followed additional .pdf docs.

I've setup a couple fax cover pages, but every time I try to use them in my Zoom desktop client the fax fails. Is anyone else having this issue? Sending a fax without the built-in fax cover letter works just fine as expected.

Is there a way to add a disclaimer to the fax cover page?
