Windows Desktop Notification Not Showing Caller ID Name

Hello,

 

I am experiencing a weird issue with the notifications on the Windows Desktop app regarding caller id notifications. So, when the pop-up shows up on screen it is only showing the caller phone number but not the caller id name. It used to show the caller id name in the past but has not for at least the last month or two. The caller id name does show up in the call history though.

 

We have another user, and they receive the name in the notification just fine. Plus, I receive the caller id name in the mobile app notification. 

 

I am the account admin and have not made any changes to the account settings in the past several months.  I have also reinstalled the program on computer to see if that would solve the problem but has not. Both users are on the same version of the program.

 

Any insight would be great on how to resolve this issue.

I suggest you run Run CleanZoom to remove Zoom completely and reinstall Zoom Windows Workplace app.  As of 10/20/2025, the app version is 6.6.1.  please see zoom support article for details:

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Zoom application

Did this resolve for you? I am having the same issue. Both on the destop app and my poly e550. I dont know how it worked before as I am a new user testing zoom. Thanks

Hello. No it did not.

Thanks for the update. I opened a ticket. They are making a change to the account to use the legacy system, lets see if it works.

Eliot,

Still not working on 6.6.6 desktop app and e550 phone. It is working on the mobile. I opened a ticket they said this:

"Upon double checking your case, new user call history is enforced, I will need to submit a request to revert it back to legacy setting, with your approval."

Still not resolved.

for me, caller id name works on windows client (6.6.6), poly e450 and ios mobile app (6.6.5).  it also works on cisco dp-9851, grandstream grp 2615, and yealink t54w.

The article describes all the enhancements but notes: 

Accessing enhanced call history has the following limitation:

  • Starting November 2025, if you continue using an older version of the Zoom client (below 6.5.5), you will no longer be able to access call log history within Zoom Phone.

What is really strange, i that i would think i have the enhanced version with windows 6.6.6 and caller id works for me but not for others.
