Looking forward to some recommendations regarding Zoom capabilities.
Our use case is the following: I am trying to set up Calendly + Zoom. The overall idea is the Demo Request form. Initially, we implemented this through the single occurrence of a recurring meeting - just hard copying the link to the description of the Calendar section.
We have 4 Sales Reps whom we add after the call was created. The problem with the current workflow is that we want to allow any sales rep to start Zoom calls and skip through Waiting Room.
Alternative host options does not work well for our case. We encounter an issue where Zoom removes all alternative hosts when a meeting is edited. The issue occurs only for recurring meetings as I figured out. This issue is related to the current absence of a way to add an alternative host to a single occurrence of a recurring meeting.
If any of the recurring meetings' instance has a specified date, users need to choose Edit All to add an alternative host, and the Edit All option is not available when recurring meetings are created with no-fixed-time. This results in the blank Alternative Host field when editing the meeting.
What is an alternative Zoom feature we should utilize to handle such a scenario? Would be great to automatically set it up once.
Thanks

Hi @Stanislav1
You might try assigning all potential alternative hosts scheduling privilege for the user profile tied to the Calendly integration. Scheduling privilege has the same requirements as Alternative host and allows them to schedule meetings on that user's behalf, but also makes them the alternative host for all their meetings as well. This should work around your issue while still giving them the access they need to start and circumvent the Waiting Room. Here is more info about Scheduling privilege: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362803-Scheduling-privilege
Hope that helps and please make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.

Sounds like you want participants to sign up for a specific occurrence or a recurring meeting and ensure all 4 hosts has scheduling privileges. Scheduling privileges can be assigned within the Zoom portal very easily. For signing up you may want to use a scheduling solution that is better geared towards recurring meetings and can account for the fact you want multiple alternative hosts by default. You could use a webhook to override and update alternative hosts each time there is an edit. There are also Zoom apps like Salepager, geared towards scheduling recurring meetings and managing alternative hosts including for a particular occurrence.
