I would like to record myself for a presentation. However, the record to cloud function automatically starts whenever I start a new meeting. I have turned off every automatic record feature I can find and it still starts recording automatically. I have gone through the steps listed in the tutorials and step by step instructions. I want to be able to stop and start recording or pause on the zoom screen and I don't see that icon. What am I missing?
I Would Like To Know If It Is Possible to Share Screens While on Zoom for Movie Watching ?

Hi, I'm using Zoom on Ubuntu Linux. I just updated to the latest version, but in this version, the minimised video window can no longer stay on top of other windows. This changed from the previous version I was using - I could keep the small video window on top of other windows, which I found very very useful. OS: Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTSZoom version: 5.17.11 (3835) I tried to find a relevant setting but couldn't. Can we bring this feature back please? Thank you.
It's too small to see

This STILL seems an issue. We have an Enterprise license for a very large company. I host Software training meetings. I went into my “upcoming meetings” a week before. I named an “alternative host” who also is on the enterprise license. He did NOT receive an email. I forwarded him the email link that I “copied” from the meeting details. He clicked on it, and it prompted him to register, then said “host cannot register”, The meeting he is named as Alternative Host does NOT show in his upcoming meetings. Very frustrating when you are trying to have a back up instructor step in for you. Does Zoom have any reasonable resolution for this? Is there some work around?
Hi community,I am using the system today and encountered an issue where the screen freezes upon downloading a report. Here are the details:Use case: Trying to download the monthly report. Steps taken: Logged into the system, clicked on "Report", and then clicked the "Download" button. Error message: No error message pops up, but nothing happens. The screen just freezes completely. Troubleshooting done: I have tried using an Incognito window and clearing the browser cache (Ctrl + F5), but the issue persists. Environment details: Browser: Google Chrome (Latest version compatible) Operating System: Windows 7 Could anyone please help me fix this or check if there is a server-side issue?Thank you!
Zoom Workplace (7.0.5, Win)Hi all.I have had issues this week adding or removing participants to all scheduled occurrences of my meetings through the Workplace app.Everything looks as it should as I edit, I hit save, the expected Chrome calendar tab pops up (GCal integration), but the meetings remain unchanged in Zoom and GCal.I note that making changes via the web portal works as expected, without issue. We are just back from holidays, so this issue is only somewhat recent. Thanks to all for your help, or for reading.
Hello Zoom Team,I am experiencing what appears to be a server-side Whiteboard data issue with my personal Zoom Workplace Basic account.SummaryUntil recently, my account contained more than 10 Zoom Whiteboards. Now only 2 boards remain:one board that I own and can edit; one shared board that is read-only.All other Whiteboards have disappeared.EnvironmentZoom Workplace Basic Personal Gmail account (not managed by any organization) Latest Zoom Workplace desktop client Same behavior in both the desktop application and the Zoom web portalTroubleshooting already completedI have already verified all of the following:Signed in to the correct Zoom account. Whiteboard worked previously with this same account. Updated Zoom Workplace to the latest version. Signed out and signed back in. Tested on both desktop and web. Trash is empty. Whiteboard no longer appears as a separate product in the application (only Message Boards are shown). https://app.zoom.us/wb/home redirects to the Zoom home page. htt
I have a user who is not receiving emails that are normally sent to a Meeting Host after their meeting ends, which are the Meeting Assets email for a Meeting Summary, and the Cloud Recording email for a Cloud Recording. They used to receive these emails, but they recently stopped.I receive these emails, and so does everybody else. As far as I can tell, this user’s settings are exactly identical to anyone else who is successfully receiving these emails. I also asked our Systems team to review the user’s O365 account to see if there are any emails from no-reply@zoom.us, or any other source, that are being hung up or sent to a hidden folder due to some Outlook Rule, or anything like that, and after thorough review, they found nothing. The funny thing is, the user is receiving the “Your meeting attendees are waiting...” emails from no-reply@zoom.us, but they are not receiving any others. I also tried sharing one of my Meeting Summaries with them, which for anyone else would send them
I find the live transcipt feature very useful during our calls. I don't usually make an audio recording of calls. But when the conversation is finished, I usually have to wait until everybody has signed out and then shuffle about to find the transcript, then open it, then view it in folder and then save it in a relevant directory on my computer. If I exit the call myself as the host, there does not seem to be way to find the transcript. My method seems clumsy and wasteful. Is there a better/faster way to do this and can I do it after the call is completed. TIA GB
Hi everyone,I recently experienced a local recording failure despite Zoom indicating everything was working. I’d appreciate any help understanding why no files were saved — and if there’s any hope of recovery.🧩 What happened:I joined a Zoom meeting as a participant (not the host), using an invite link.I was signed in to my Zoom account at the time. The host granted me permission to record locally.I clicked "Record", and Zoom said:“Recording in progress”At the end of the meeting, I heard:“Recording stopped”Zoom stayed open the entire time and did not crash. This was a fresh install of Zoom on a new Windows user account.📁 What I found:The folder C:\Users\[MyName]\Documents\Zoom exists. Its “last modified” timestamp matches the moment the meeting ended.❌ There are no subfolders or files inside — completely empty.I’ve enabled hidden/system files and verified the folder is truly empty.I searched my entire drive for .mp4, .zoom, .tmp, and double_click_to_convert.zoom files — not
Unfortunately, this problem persists, and there seems to be little interest on Zoom's part in resolving it. As an interpreter, I find it incredibly frustrating that changes are being made to functionality, and it seems no one has actually asked a professional interpreter whether that particular feature would help or hinder us in doing our job. Yes, we need to hear the original when we work directly from what we call the floor. However, if we need to follow an interpreter on another channel (which then becomes the original for that interpreter), having the two audio feeds is chaos! What has possessed ZOOM developers? Why would it be less of an issue for the interpreter to hear two audio feeds at the same time than it is for a participant, who can in fact disable the function as it is deemed too distracting for them, and the Interpreter?? Is it not equally as distracting or even MORE so?How can we impress upon ZOOM the need to reinstate that feature for the interpreters???? Suggestions a
The Zoom Desktop App on my new Dell laptop running Windows 11 doesn’t launch. I uninstalled and downloaded zoom app and reinstalled, the zoom version is latest. I cleared Zoom Cache. Issue is not resolved. The Zoom support could not help further and created a ticket. Any tips regarding this will be appreciated.
Hello! So: we had and have another a meeting with interpretation in three different languages (also two interpreters per language channel who take turns). The problem: the interpreter, who wants to translate something from another interpreter, hears also the original audio of the sepaker - which is chaos, because he hears two people talking at the same time in almost the same volume. As a pnormal praticipant you have the button "Interpretation" and "Mute Original Audio", but not if you are assigned as an interpreter! So how can an interpreter mute the original?I need help urgently, because we have another meeting coming up soon... Thank you!Caroline
After a recent update, I no longer have the choice to save my recordings to my computer. That’s extremely annoying as I don’t trust the cloud and, apparently I have good reason not to. My recordings have not showed up in the list of recordings. That’s over an hour of recording time that I have to redo. I am beyond furious. Please fix this ASAP. Also, please consider testing your software before pushing it onto us, so that you don’t cost us time we don’t have.

I am using a Mac MiniI have record to cloud turned on under Settings>Cloud recording>Allow hosts to record the following to the cloudI have turned on Settings > Create Audio Transcript under the section Advanced cloud recording settingI have waited days for a recording to be transcribedI have searched the Zoom Community and found people having the same problem in 2024.
Good MorningI used to be able to copy the invitation to meetings and then paste them in an email to sent to clients, however it’s not working that way anymore. What changed? Thanks to anyone who responds!Ginny
Hi. I've had a Zoom account for a couple years now. Most of the time it works fine. I use it most of the time for MEETINGS. Sometimes it will not open. I have not changed anything in permissions, settings, account and my internet connection is fine. It just does not open. Here's the weirdest part. When this happens, it will not allow me to CALL into meetings using my cell phone. It will say "that passcode does not exist." It will not allow me to visit the zoom website either. I've been using computers daily for 30+ years and this is hands down the oddest thing i've encountered. Attached are screen shots of the error codes. I've tried rebooting my computer....of course. It just doesn't work. What DOES work is turning off my computer for at least 8 hours....then it will work.....like nothing happened.I'm not typing in the link wrong, i'm not accidentally calling the wrong number....and my colleagues are able to get into the meetings....it's just me that cannot. This has happened to m
How do I stop Zoom from sending Meeting assets after a hearing.
Hi All, I am not getting any audio come through in a meeting today when people have been talking. This is not an issue with my actual chromebook speakers because I can hear the audio test tone perfectly fine, I can hear music on spotify, and the audio on youtube videos works absolutely fine. The only time I am getging any issues is when trying to hear people speak in a Zoom meeting - I can even hear the join and leave bell notification sounds during the meeting, which is even more confusing because these audio cues work on Zoom for Chrome but actually hearing people doesn't work! INCREDIBLY frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Is the absolute path of Zoom.exe always installed in the following folder?C:\Users\xxx\AppData \Roaming\Zoom\bin If not, how to get absolute path of zoom.exe?
