Floating mini window

I love the mini window that appears when you minimize the main display window. It no longer appears when I minimize. How do I restore this? Allows me to see my audience while still viewing information on screen. I’m running Version: 7.1.5 (43453)

Hi @Brent Sahl,

Welcome to Zoom community! We’re glad to have you here. In the Zoom Workplace app, that “mini window” is controlled by the Always show meeting controls / Show Zoom windows during screen share and Mini Window behavior.

Try these in order:

Re-enable Mini Window during a meeting

Start or join a meeting.
Click the meeting window’s View menu (top-right of the meeting window).
Select Mini Window (or toggle back from another view option).
Then minimize the main meeting window and see if the mini window appears.

Check the in-app setting that affects whether Zoom stays visible

Open Zoom Workplace app (not in a meeting) → Settings.
Go to General and look for options related to:
- Always show meeting controls
- Show Zoom windows during screen share
- Any option mentioning mini window / picture-in-picture Turn these back on if they’re off.

If you screen share, make sure Zoom isn’t set to hide itself

In a meeting, start Share Screen.
In the share toolbar, click More (…) and confirm Zoom isn’t set to Hide floating meeting controls (wording can vary by version).
