We are running a webinar via Zoom Sessions. Where is the ability to start or stop the recording manually? The recording controls are not present in their usual location!

 

If the "auto-start" was not configured beforehand, you cannot change this without restarting the ongoing session either.

Quicktime recording at the same time as Webinar?

Normally I can run a webinar and record using QuickTime in high-resolution. Today, I could not do that when the Zoom Webinar was active but I could record with QuickTime when the webinar was not active. Does any one have any solutions to this? I'm lo... Show more

Normally I can run a webinar and record using QuickTime in high-resolution. Today, I could not do that when the Zoom Webinar was active but I could record with QuickTime when the webinar was not active. Does any one have any solutions to this? I'm looking to record the webinar, record the same webinar via quicktime without the slides that way I can edit a nice video together using both.

Solved - Spam Zoom Invites

I found a solution after extensive trials. 

1) Create a filter in Gmail - @zoom.US
2) Set to delete all
3) Tell you real clients to send all invites to whatsapp
3) Stop using zoom untill the provide a fix>

I get invites all the time from @outlook. and they change it for every webinar. I have unsubscribed 100's of times but they keep on coming. Zoom has no solution or does not care. So this is my final fix. Cheers

It's not possible to approve bio's submitted by speakers

When I perform step 6 "click Review" no list comes up for approval. Instead I get directed to the event management page of the event itself

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click your profile picture.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. Click the Host tab.
  5. In the notification informing you that a speaker bio is ready for your review, click View Details.
     You will be taken to the event creation tab of the Zoom Sessions event setup that has the updates waiting for your review.
  6. At the top of the page, click Review.
    The Review List will appear.
    • You can filter the list of items by clicking the All dropdown menu. Select to filter the items by All, Unprocessed, or Reviewed.
  7. Click the detail you want to review.
    Note: Details that have been updated have the word New (in green) next to them.
    The item you want to review will appear in the right preview window.
  8. Click Approve to approve the change or click Reject if you do not approve of the change.
  9. (Optional) If you reject the change, add a message explaining the edit rejection, then click Send.

I have just run a webinar where an attendee reported that they were able to register and reached the waiting room, but when the webinar started they received the following error and were unable to get back in (despite restarting login process).

Error: The server encountered an internal error and was unable to process your request. Error code: 3034

They are using a Mac.

Hello Zoom Support,

 

I’m experiencing a persistent issue related to a recurring Zoom webinar that I created a couple of weeks ago. Here’s the full context:

  1. I originally created a recurring Zoom webinar via the Zoom web platform and added one panelist.

  2. I did not send invites through Zoom, but instead created a separate calendar event in Google Calendar for all participants. I added the Zoom link there manually and sent out the invites via Google Calendar.

  3. After some time, I needed to cancel and change the topic, so I went to Zoom and deleted the webinar entirely from the Zoom dashboard.

  4. I also went to Google Calendar and deleted the full recurring series of events by choosing “All Events.” The event shows as deleted on my end.

  5. However, participants are still seeing the event in their calendars — including the panelist, and others who received the original calendar invite.

  6. In some cases, it even shows Panelist as the organizer now, even though I was the original host. I’m concerned this may be due to how calendar ownership behaves after a deletion.

 

I’ve tried all of the following:

  • Deleting the event series entirely from Google Calendar

  • Removing myself as organizer

  • Confirming that the Zoom event no longer exists in my Zoom dashboard or trash

  • Asking the participants to manually delete the event — but some are still confused because the event keeps showing up

What I need help with:

  1. Is there a way to forcefully remove this Zoom event from all attendees’ calendars, especially those who received it via Google Calendar?

  2. Why does the calendar event still persist even though it’s fully deleted from Zoom?

  3. Can Zoom forcefully revoke this meeting link or ID across calendars?

  4. Is there any setting or practice I should follow in the future to prevent this behavior when canceling or rescheduling webinars?

I'm planning to host a webinar and will disable the chat for participants, relying on the Q&A function for questions.  I wondered if there was a setting where presenters can use the chat as a "one-way communication" with participants?  I will have 300+ participants and didn't want the chat going but my presenters would like to share a link to a survey with their audience at the end of the session (without receiving responses back or fielding side conversations).  Thanks for advice!

I've been using zoom webinars for some time, and today I encountered this problem for the first time.

I was in webinar practice session with two others panelists and none of us were able to share sound during screen sharing. I can see the Share Audio option in the bottom corner, but I can't check it.
I would appreciate any solution to this.

Hello.

 

I am an interpreter who has worked on Zoom very frequently in the past four years. Recently, I have noticed that the original sound from the floor can be heard in the background when listening to my colleagues' relays.

Let's say the original sound is Japanese, and I am listening to my colleague's English. Although my colleague's voice is louder than the original sound, I can still hear it in the background, which is extremely distracting.

 

Other interpreters have told me that they have the same issue.  So, I can safely say that it isn't a problem with my headset (Plantronics Blackwire 8225). 

 

Is there an audio setting I can enable to prevent this situation? 

 

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Resolved! Live streaming to Facebook Page not working

I used to stream to my facebook page, but since last week I've not been able to stream to my active page as I the drop down like is not showing my active page.
