On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Disable user block list

Can I check if I'm missing an admin setting somewhere, please? I understand having a global block list but I'm not that happy about individual users blocking numbers on a whim.  Is there are way to remove individuals having a block list ability?

From what I can tell, block list is not a user facing function. That is admin access only. The other setting, which sounds like your customers are engaging is the spam protection feature. That spam protection feature is an account wide setting. If you disable it, all users will loose that function.

Appreciated but it's not the spam protection in this instance. The block list is available to the user in the desktop client and via the browser - they can select the '...' in the call history entry from the client and select "Block number > other reason" then from the web profile view, they can see 'Manage block list' in their 'Phone' menu options.  I have confirmed this with a non-admin account.

I ended up raising a support ticket with Zoom. The answer was it's not possible and to submit via the feedback method in the app.  I have done so and will wait to see what happens.

You are correct. However, the block list only applies to that user. If they add a number to their block list, it only blocks that number from calling them. It does not block that number from dialing any other number on your account. The account block list does and that list is only admin accessible.
