On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Directing Ringtone Audio

When I am called the ringtone plays through both my speakers and headset. I would much prefer it rings to just my speakers and then allow me to take the call on my headset.
This is on windows desktop zoom app. The app is fully up to date.

Please advise. Thank you.

hi @GooseQuestions

try unchecking "use separate audio device to play ringtone simultaneously"

Use separate audio device to play ringtone simultaneously: Select another device that will play the ringtone when you are invited to a Zoom meeting or receive a Zoom Phone call. This device will ring simultaneously with your selected speaker.

Good afternoon, Eliot!
Hope you are doing well.

Tried disabling the "Use separate audio device to ..." option and the result was that if I select speakers, calls and ringtones would be played through the speaker. If I select my headset calls and ringtones play through the headset.

This is not ideal as I would like ringtones to play through my speakers and everything else to go through my headset.

When my headset rings unexpectedly it makes me jump out of my seat every time. I would much prefer to have my computer speakers ring instead.

Thank you for your time.
