Using External mixer

When in a hypnosis session with a client I use an external mixer for music and binaural beats and RecordPad on my computer. Client can hear my voice with all the background sound enhancements, until I press record, then client hears only my voice even though I end up with a perfect recording. With little said about computer resources you may want to consider a different workflow using OBS Studio and NDI.

Another option is to have a second computer just for playing back music and other media files. This gives you full control on what you are playing, when you play it and allows you to optimise the audio settings for your music in zoom on the media laptop. In addition, you will hear the music on your laptop that you are speaking to your client (keep the speakers and mic shut off on the laptop you are playing the media on) and you will hear EXACTLY what your client is hearing.
