Sounds as if that mic is being shared by some other device at the same time as Zoom. Just make sure that OBS is not running when you test Zoom. I would start from there. The next option would be to change the cable you are using to connect the audio ...

I have not come across this issue. Have you checked your default recording settings in the admin portal? There are a lot of options as to what the cloud recording incudes - "create audio transcript" and these needs to be checked on.
