The virtual background on zoom has an embedded picture in category of none and blur.  I have no idea how the objects were embedded. I have spent hours looking for a solution. Can anyone assist how to remove embedded picture in category of none and blur?

This could be a picture that comes from your operating system.
Are you on Mac OS or Windows?

If you are on Mac, you can try the following:

  1. Start a Meeting
  2. In the tool bar at the top of your screen, you should see a camera symbol (white symbol in a green box)
  3. Click on that symbol and check whether a background image or other background effect has been activated (this would be an effect that is created by Mac OS)

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @revsp19.

Not sure why you’d specifically request to remove any embedded picture.   Whereas the other options are indeed “thumbnails” of the options available, the two images for None and Blur are placeholders for settings that are enabled inside the Zoom Workplace app.

If you are asking to remove the None and Blur options from the list of available options on the settings window, this isn’t an option Zoom has enabled.

You might take a look at this information for some additional guidance:

Hello Ray,

Thank you for the response and article.   The none and blur options used to allow me to see my home desk or background area.  Somehow, there is an embedded none and blur picture.

When I click on the none or blur, a picture appears rather than a home view.    I have looked at the Zoom Workplace and am at a loss how to remove the  none and blur image.   I am using the free version of Zoom.    Susan

Hello Stueker,

Yes, I am on a Mac OS. The suggestion worked for both blur and none.   I can see my back wall again.  Thank-you so much.  Susan

Hello @revsp19 ,

glad that I could help. I took the liberty to accept my post as a solution then.
