I have been using a private room to host 1:1 meetings. In one of the meetings the client let me know that a hand in a circle with line going around that changes color like something is loading shows up in the lower middle of her screen. (this is not a raised hand, as we experimented with that, but she said its a different icon and different position) It seems to happen 10 minutes before the end of our meetings, I have not had any other clients let me know this is occurring. I tried researching this but can't find an answer. Does anyone know what this might be.
Thank you!

The issue your client is describing—a circular icon with a changing color that appears in the lower middle of the screen—could indicate one of the following scenarios:
1. Zoom Timer or Countdown Feature
Explanation: Some organizations or accounts have settings enabled for session time reminders, especially if a session is about to end (e.g., for free accounts or scheduled time limits).
What to Check: Confirm if your Zoom account or your client’s Zoom account has any time reminder or warning feature activated. This might be a setting enabled by the host or associated with a business account.
2. Third-Party App or Notification
Explanation: The icon could be coming from a third-party application on your client’s device, such as screen-sharing software, antivirus software, or other system utilities. These apps might display a visual indicator when an event (e.g., time running out or performance issues) occurs.
What to Check: Ask your client if they have any such software installed and running during your meeting.
3. Connection or Performance Indicator
Explanation: Some video conferencing platforms (or even devices) display a visual notification when network or device performance is struggling. For example, the circle might indicate buffering or a temporary drop in connection quality.
What to Check: Ask your client if they notice the icon when their internet connection slows down or if they experience any video/audio quality issues at the same time.
4. Custom Zoom Integration or Plug-In
Explanation: If your client’s Zoom app has custom integrations or plug-ins installed (e.g., for meeting analytics or tracking), they might see unique icons or notifications.
What to Check: Ask your client if they use a modified version of Zoom or have any integrations enabled, and suggest disabling them temporarily to see if the issue persists.
5. Device-Specific Feature
Explanation: If your client is using a specific device, like a smartphone or tablet, this could be a device-specific feature. For instance, some devices display unique notifications for events like screen recording or energy-saving mode.
What to Check: Determine the device and operating system they’re using, and research any native features or behaviors.
What can be done:
Find out the cause of the hand is possible by diagnostics and testing, without a screenshot or video of what is happening - it is difficult to find out why this happens.
