People On The Other Side Of My Meeting CAN'T Hear The Audio (From Browser) While In "Shared Screen."

Hi everyone!

Well... The title pretty much explains everything!

Thing is, I'm aBasisc / Non-Paying Customer, and can't ask this to the bot thingy... 🤨🫤😶

So... I'm looking for any HUMAN here to help... If you guys have been through the same problem.

In the cell/ tablet app: There's this collapsible tab on the lower left side where you can turn on the volume to share the sound when you're on the "Share Screen" option. That works just fine when I want to share stuff on YouTube. But if I want to share the audio while on any given page while on a browser, like Chrome, then that feature doesn't work.

If anyone has any ideas on that, I'd be eternally grateful!

I've tried to explain this to the bot but it just kind of 'short circuit' (in a non-literal) way...

And Basic Customers don't get to talk to humans if we need help... 🫤🥺😶 so... that's why I'm here...

Can anyone help, please?

As an audio and broadcast engineer I can tell you that computer audio can be very complicated.

You cannot select a specific audio output device directly within Chrome on a tablet
, as this functionality is managed by the tablet's operating system (Android or iPadOS). To change the audio output, use the tablet's system settings to connect to a different device, like Bluetooth headphones or a speaker, or check your tablet's quick settings for an audio switch option.

search for the following in Google "selecting audio sound card in chrome browser on tablet"

If this works please click accept as a solution.

Note: I apologise to the "powers that be." Apparently, I posted a topic twice without meaning to, so it also appears it got deleted (?)

Alright... To the point!

I'm using an Android tablet, I do not have a laptop —Well, I do, but I don't have WiFi, so I can only use Data on my phone/tablet. That means I'm only able to use the app to go into Meetings.

When I use the "Screen Share" feature, the other side of my Meeting is able to hear the audio while Sharing stuff on YouTube without a problem. BUT, while I'm using this "Screen Share" feature, and I'm on a browser, namely Chrome, or a local browser (provided by the carrier) with similar features, the people on the other side of my Meetings can see my screen alright, but can't hear anything. Even though I've set the sliding tab thingamajig on the lower left side of my screen ON...

I've tried to ask about this on the support page, by using the bot, and the bot can only do so much, and I'm being optimistic saying it'sactuallyable to help... at all... 🫤🙄😶. Thing is... I'm a Basic (non-paying) user, and because of it, I'm barred from HUMAN help, so "Support" isn't available.

So, I'm here to see if anyone can help with this.

I'll be eternally grateful if anyone could help out here!

Thanks
